Wrecked Q45 Awwwwwwwwwwwww!

Damn big trucks. So I'm getting off the freeway ramp right? Ok, the light turns green and i'm getting up to the 25mph limit and this dodge ram is coming quick so I throw it into first being the defensive driver I am so that he would switch lanes. He switches lanes and get's into my lane, the left lane so I get into the right lane and when I pass him he blows this black smoke out of his diesel. The next light turns red. When the light turns green I begin to pass him again and he does the black smoke again. Next thing I know he comes into my lane catty wompis and my hood and left front light get smashed. It was his fault so i'm waiting for the insurance company to write a check so I can get it fixed. I was so angry. 94 G50 looks so sad now. I would post pics but I don't know how. I gotta say that the Q took it on the chin. Only a cracked radiator. The side fenders are no damage just the hood and light.

How long do you guys think it will take before I get back in the Q?Has anyone else had there Q in a fender bender?

I have extra lights laying around, but they are all from pre-grill model G50's.

I'm confused. You did what to make him do what? Which side of the truck was his exhaust exit? Did you put it in first instead of putting on the brake to slow down or did you put it in first to accelerate faster? If you slowed to open a spot for him in your lane, then it sounds like you did nothing wrong. But still, in that situation I can see how the person driving the truck would think that you were wanting to stay in your lane if you open a spot ahead of you for him to get into your lane. And therefore, being in a tall truck, may well not see you when he goes to merge back into the other lane if you're right up beside him. Yes, it's his fault, but honestly, you should have more presence of mind and know better than to open a gap for a tall vehicle that can't see directly behind very well and then try to shoot around in the lane right next to it.

If your radiator cracked, I am afraid there is more damage than just the fender.

I suspect insurance will total Q based on a $4,000 repair bill?

I almost know all the details with my insurance company. I was told by another guy that they would total it. I'll keep you guys posted.

The repair bill is like $7-9g's. All the parts from infiniti including paint. I'll keep yall posted.
