It was probably a month ago I wrecked my 93' KA-T. Well I was coming home at 3am on a Saturday morning just got done after a tiring day of work and helping a friend move in to his new house. After the move I passed out and a friend house and woke and drove home, it was only a 10 minute drive. I was pretty tired so I cracked the window to get the cool air circulating to keep me up. The next thing I know I wake up in a field off the road just after 6am. I was out of it and didn't know what happened. My car was off and I was bleading pretty bad. I yellow sweat shirt was almost a dark red color and I had a pool of blood in my lap half dried. I kicked the door open and my car was messed up I didn't even know where I was. I figure I was in my car off the road for the last 3 hours at least. I stumbled down to the road and passed out. Someone passing by stopped woke me up and said I looked pretty bad and need to go to the hospital asap. I got a ride to the hospital where I met my mom. The doctor came in and the look on his face was pretty bad. I went to the bathroom and noticed I could see a good portion of my skull because of the large laseration on my head. It took a few internal stitches and 17 external stitches to close it up. The hospital said I lost a lot of blood. I left the hospital with bruised ribs and 1 was cracked and a minor concussion. That was all from hitting my head on the steering wheel. I cut has healed up pretty well for now but the top left portion of my forehead still has no feeling. I consider myself lucky to be alive today.

The force of the accident sent my CD player though my climate controls

The force also made my intercooler into a U shape

Ripped the strut towers out, seperated the fire wall, creased the trans tunnel, broke the frame in 2 places, and brnt the frame in several other places

That is one crazy story. At first I didnt think you were serious. Man, I'm glad you came out alive. It sucks to hear these things happen. Hope you fully recover.

damn sorry to hear about your car, atleast your alright though. I get to scared to drive when im tired because ive heard stories like this before...once i was driving back from philly (only 100 miles) but i got tired on the way home. So i pulled over at a rest stop and took a nap for like 50 minutes, then continued my drive. The good news is your now a member of the coupe family !!!!!!!

Holy crap! I'm glad your'e ok 574. Your'e pretty damn lucky to be alive. At least you have plenty of 240's sitting around Was coffee out of the question that night? I dunno, seems like a good idea for everyone to carry no-doz in their car just in case. Glad you're all right, was your skull fractured at all?

Glad to hear that you're alright and didn't bleed out. My (ahem) hair doctor told me that the scalp is a very concentrated area of blood vessels and when people get hair plugs put in that it's extremely bloody. Bloody to the point where it steers some people away from the profession despite the huge payout.

Anyways, how is your insurance handling it? Are they being good about compensating you for your aftermarket parts?

my roommate fell asleep for like 15 mins. once, thankfully the car kept going straight

and that north dakota has more straight flat roads than any other place on earth

sucks though, anything salvageable from the hatch to go into the coupe project?

well, if youre looking on hte positive side of things, you have a good parts donor car, and a source of income from parting out whatever salvagable parts are on the hatch. glad to hear you are okay though, i dont wanna sound gay or nuthin, but unicorns are freakin awesome.

They figured I was cruising the speed limit, 55. I hit a dirt embankment that was at a 50-60 degree angle and rode that for 15 feet then the car cleared a 3 foot bush and the front radiator support landed on a stump. I missed 2 trees on either side of the car by no more than a foot. I guess most of my parts will be transfered from the coupe. The only thing that didn't really make it was the exhaust, intercooler and IC piping.
