Damn, first things first; I hope you're okay.

I'd imagine that the shop would check to see if the chassis of the car is out of shape... if it is I assume they wouldn't fix it, but I wouldn't think that the damage cost more than replacing the car.

Wow bro! Hope your alright.

Unless your chassis is twisted, It doesn't look like it will be totaled. I would say an easy 8k worth of damage though. To total the car, the damage would have to be greater than its value, which I suppose it right around 27k. You don't have 27k worth of damage

i spoke with a guy from nissan he told me that those two side are bags cost about 4000 together to replace.. also was your front driver side wheel hit at all? did it bend any of the suspension components?, and if the chassis is wrinkled then it could easily be totalled

I dont think so, no engine or mechanical damage... the proof is in the chassis...

Id get myself a nice local shop... and wind out coming out of this with a full body kit.

The Altima Coupe is a strong car if it got hit on the driver side and you're ok. I hope the sedan is just as strong but I don't want to be the one to find that out.

I wouldn't be for sure... Didn't see it coming, just heard a crash and spun around... If I had to guess I would say maybe between 30-45 mph and I was probably going at roughly the same speed. Not that fast I would say, anything faster and I would probably at least be in the hospital getting checked up on, it was the previous generation 4dr altima that hit me btw...

yeah i was never a fan of those earlier generation altimas, always thought they were up to no good, glad though to see you are okay, a 35mph wreck is quite serious,

Maybe that Altima got jealous of the new look and wanted to change and took over the car while the owner couldn't control it or it fell in love and tried to mate with your car....love at first sight. lol

At least you are okay. A car can be replace while a life cant. I been in a few accident in the past and depending if the frame is okay or not will determine if its total. Also my uncle owns a body shop and I seen some crazy damages and from the looks of it the car might be repairable if chassis is not damage and that your suspension is still good.

Hope everything works out for you.

I'd go with the mating theory ... LOL. But, seriously, glad you're OK. Cars can be replaced ....

Glad you are aight dude. Depending on if the chasis is out of wack or not, the car might be repairable but I'd rather have it totalled.

yea I know i would want the car totaled too... Just don't think it will ever drive the same... But I have a feeling that the damages will fall just short of being totaled...

Wow, that is impressive. From what I have seen with anyone in the coupe’s getting hammered the drivers come out relatively unscathed from such an impact.Glad you are ok.

WOW! glad you're ok! from what I can recall ( and someone correct me if i'm wrong) in all the T-bone accident i've seen the car was totaled out. But then again it's been usually a sedan that got hit. and since it bends the piliar during the accident, it automatically gets totaled. But since the coupe doesn't have one (and it looks like it was more door on your car) you might not have it totaled out. But then again the air bags went off... so your insurance might total it out (again i could be wrong)

holy ouch!....if ya 360'd there could be more problems that meet the eye...on the surface its a door and the left uniside, the bags....etc....as we all know there really aint too much meat under the body...shoot i have to search for something stable to put a jack on!....so if anything is hit bent or otherwise ...its garbage.....the days of pulling and hittin dents and bings are over...its less time and effort to just replace the part...my pass side was hit in a parking lot when a guy backed into it...at about 2mph...he contacted me and just kept trying to reverse as if i were just a speed bump or somthing....so it was a hit and press...damage assement by my shop......new uniside....and door....4500-4800...he is more expensive than others...but he is the best around....his bady work and paint are perfect....and i assume this is an area where you aint looking to cheap out!

so compare...ur damage vs mine....and mine is 45oo-4800..and ull see urs is gonna be a fortune what u cant see is the door and door jamb have a knik in it...which negates any push pull work...

if thats about 5k worth of damage I wonder how much mine is.... I think it'd pretty much have to be 30k of damage for insurance to total it...

I don't know about where you are, but in Canada (or at least with my insurance co.), to qualify as a total write-off the damages only need to be 75% of the appraised value of the car. Depending on how long you've had the car (and the particular model) that value might be hovering around the $20,000 mark. Your damage looks to be at least $15,000 (it's likely your frame is bent if it sent you spinning like that) so it might just be a total write-off indeed.Sorry bro... ...but hey, at least you're walkin'!
