man ppl need to start driving safer in the rain... id say around 75% of the 240 crashes on this forum recently have been ppl who werent driving their car safely based on the conditions.... oh well.... hopefully with all these threads about ppl crashing their cars that the other 240 owners here will learn from others mis-haps.... and no im not trying to act like im better than everyone or drive better than everyone... the first day i drove my car in the rain( about two years ago ) i spun out, hit a curb and bent a rim, ever since then i drive like an old lady when its wet out...

Can't emphasize enough how much a light, rwd car needs a set of GOOD TIRES. I've had mishaps myself in the rain when i first got my 240, you learn the first time and drive like an old lady next time its wet out. But the best thing to do is get tires with the best wet traction/hyrdoplaning resistance. This is crucial.

I'm sorry about what happened, you're very lucky to be alive, that's the most mangled up 240 chassis i've ever seen. If its any consolation, I lose my white S13 coupe to a idiot who ran a stop-sign at full throttle this past May. Got another s13 already now. Go save another!

Wow, another zenki bites the dust I am real sorry to hear that, but you are lucky to be alive I learned my lesson from the rain: I was following my friend in his toyota supra, he pulled out from a stop sign on new, wet pavement and got on it. I followed suit and pulled out and got on it. My car broke loose and went sideways in 1st, 2nd, and 3rd gear. Good thing no one was in the other side of the road and i took the center. Scared the s*** out of me b/c i almost lost my baby. Now i am a grandpa in the rain.

Umm, was this tree the size of a Giant Sequioa? That car is absolutely mangled. Thank God you're alive.
