Just like the title says...WRC mag show is on tonight. This weekend is also the first ever WRC rally in Japan.

WRC needs to get back in the US. any reason why it hasn't been in the US?

Because most of the US doesn't give a crap about rally. If it doesn't involve a lot of left-hand turns, we don't watch it.

On a related note, Speed Channel bumped the show for some lame stock car race I've never heard of. Grrrrr....

Yeah, they were showing some stock car race and then completely skipped the WRC mag and went directly to the Mazda something something.

Damn...they'd prempt WRC programming for a Go-Kart race. Anyway, it just goes to show that rally has close to ZERO presence in the mind of the average American motorsports fan. FIA is trying to change that (or trying to ruin WRC, depending who you ask).

Edit: It's on now!!! WTF! Anyway, I'm gonna watch it.

Man, occasionally I wish I had a TV. I don't understand why most Americans don't care for WRC, it's so much more interesting and intense than any other form of racing pretty much.

i think it's cause it's hard for americans to follow. a lap isn't shown in its entirety in WRC, so they find it hard to keep track of. Also, there are literally no americans racing in WRC, so they can't identify with any of the drivers

WRC Magazine will be on again this Sunday at 9pm Eastern. It's basically a 30min recap of the last rally and some info on the upcoming one. The actual rally will be shown at 9:30pm Eastern.

I highly recommend anyone who hasn't seen a WRC event before to check it out for at least a few minutes. It's got guys pulling the handbrake, it's got turbo-charged 4 cylinder engines, it's got more cars in the air than an episode of the Dukes of Hazzard AND it's the first ever Rally Japan.

There needs to be a rally channel... I'd watch that all day and night.

So would I, but after a few days straight of it I would probably go out and do something stupid and wrap my car around a tree or something.
