Well, I went and I visited my buddy and he got tons of ca18dets engine, but one thing that got me frozen in my shoes adn speachless was an s13 complete front clip that has an RB26DETT, and not any stock RB26DETT, it is a single HUGE GREDDY TURBO, that apparently the engine was kicking 1200HP, He also shiped the rear end, basically put the two pieces back together and you got yourself a 1200hp, I was standing there will disbelieve.

The turbo itself is almost the same size as my ca18det engine lol,The intercooler has at least 5 inch inlet and outlet with about 40inch wide, 10inch thick and about 15inch height.

Any one can post pics, let me know, I got few to show boys.

Whats a estimate on the ca18 clips? And how long does he usually have them in his possesion? (Like if he just got them in, about how long does it take before he sells them all)

he only got ca18det motorsets, he got about 8-10 of them, some are auto and some are 5spd, they are all got the complete engine harness, with ignitor, but no maf, or intercoolers. Yes he got some SR clips, s13 and s14. But you gotta see the 1200hp skyline engine, it was sick, pure and simple, I figured that with suck hp, the 240sx will do about 8sec 1/4 mile. I wish I had 10k, I would have got it and felt what a 1200hp feels like and killed myself with it as I am the type of guy that doesn't believe with such things as enough power, it is always not enough power lol.For the prices on ca18det, shoot me an email at [email protected]I will try and get some pics for the 1200hp 240sx

you can never have too much power! you can however have too little money, and you need money to make power. whats really sad is that i could have bought that engine, dropped it in my car and had money left over after all the stuff thats gone into/onto my car.

Ya, same here, with the money that I spent on my pulsar when I got it, I would have bought a nice fast 300zx TT back then

yeah. ive spent a bit more on my car since ive posted that thing on my sig. my dad figures im closer to 15 grand right now. adding in the car thats about 18k. if i had that kind of money right now i would rule the universe. amazing how those little things add up isnt it? my car is going to be really lucky if it sees 300hp at the crank so its not like ive been building a monster.

Hey Rafi,

Would love to see a pic of this machine! But on a side note, let's not even talk about how much money was spent on cars. I've spent so far on my built engine over $7000 and this includes all custom manifolds with custom polishing, all major machine work (not minor), JUN cams, JUN lifters, JUN racing valve springs, Pauter rods, wiseco pistons, ARP head studs, ARP main studs, New main bearings, new rod bearings, new oil pump, new water pump, new timing belt, new cam seals, new valve cover seals, turbocharger, 95 lb/hr injectors, custom 80mm throttle body.

This cost does not include standalone engine management, custom intercooler, custom gearbox, custom mounts, custom axles, custom piping, dual BOVs, big wastegate (hks 50mm), etc, etc and the fact that I had to assemble the motor myself. And just think, I have the old ladies white sentra that I've just spent $2k on rebuilding her engine and not too mention that her car carries the same bovs, 40mm HKS wastegate, custom axles, transmission, suspension, big injectors, MSD DIS-2 ignition and a bunch of ther things I can't name. So yeah, this game is a never ending battle when it comes to how much power you want and how much dough plus experience it's going to take to get you there.

I didn't spend that much on my engine, but I spent lot of money on fixing up the car, basically I spent about 20k on the car and bringing it back to life, but still looks like crap,

I will post some pics of that rb26 monster tonight.

The reason we spend so much on these cars instead of getting some really fancy car, is because we don't have this kind of cash in one shot, so we buy a cheap car and we keep adding few dollars here and there and next thing we spent thousands of $$ on car that still looks crap lol, well at least thats what I kinda done

Exactly, lol. And also, for someone my age...insurance would be raping me substantially. I dont think I can afford a WRX (monthy payments + insurance). Plus, it'd be stupid (personally) for me to go out and buy a brand new 20XX WRX still living at home with my mom. I live in GA and we have a thing called " ad valorem" tax. Basically boosts tag prices and as my mom has a 98 volvo, 94 truck, 82 corvette....my 90 240sx's tag was only $34 :ylsuper Less than all of the vehicles.

i agree rafi

people always say why u keep spending money on that car. But the money i spent on it was spread out over time. I will never have 12k at one time to buy a nice car.

pretty crazy motorswap, but if you really look at the details, its kinda bootleg.

whats with the clutch fan and notched rad support? why not switch to electric? and how good is that rad?

then the wiring looks pretty sloppy.

based on that, i am prepared to offer $75 for the whole swap ;)

oh, bring it. i offer $75.01, suck it beeeeeyatch!!!!

and with that much power, why would you use mafs at all? i would want to tune it with a map sensor and a stand alone.. and yes, that is some seriously ghetto fabulous wiring. the radiator does look a little inadequate for those claimed 1200 ponies as well...especially when paired up with that clutch fan... i think if you look at the side view pic. though, enough of a gap has been left between the ic and radiator so that electric push-type fans could be put on the radiator (there is a mysterious red wire down there too that could run to them?). the thing that upsets me though, is if you look at the 2nd pic (side view) right next to the battery. is that the oil filter?! i certainly wouldnt want that 1) resting against the intake manifold and 2) resting against the battery!! that wont end well im sure... on a final note i would like to point out the rediculously ghetto fuse box...love that yellow wire and electrical tape..

Ya, that is the oil filter Tim, man, you actually spend some serious time to see that oil filter as it is hard to see, you should see the return oil lines that go to the oil filter they are huge. My buddy claims that it is kicking 1200hp but I can't back this info up, I am just going on his word, but that is one huge turbo.

$75.01 is a good price, I will talk with my buddy and try to convince him to let it go for that much, he is very negotiable lol

yes, that turbo is the size of a watermelon. that whole clip looks shady and ghetto but hell, thats the way i do things. do you think i could get it to fit in a 1989 bmw 325i? my dad's car has 190k on the clock and he is just itching for a new engine and a lot more power. he plans on getting an e36 s52 m3 engine with the individual throttle bodies but i would just loooOOoove to convince him otherwise, haha.

Dude, imagine this engine in a van, you will be doing wheelies all day long, I would love to see the expressions on peoples faces when you take off and smoke a vette or some muscle car.
