I wish I had gotten in on THIS.

I bet whoever bought this thing paid next to nothing for it, and it was already federalized....not even flood damage or anything severe, just a theft recovery....

EDIT: HOLY CRAP! Elsewhere on the autosource site it says this GT-R sold for $12,500!!!!!!! That's insanity!

They've got real auctions running on Yahoo! Auctions, so they're actually selling vehicles to someone or other.

I believe it, insurance/repo companies don't want to keep these things in inventory, they want to get rid of them fast.

Only downside is that some of them at times have damage that qualifies them as a total loss, i.e. nonrepairable frame damage. A simple theft recovery likely wouldn't have that, but the problem is that you can never be certain.

Los Angeles Area residents, check this out:

On January 6, 2005 (11:00am auction start time) EG&G Technical Services (2332 E. Pacifica Place, Rancho Dominguez, CA 90220) will have a 5spd Skyline GTS-T (HCR32) up for sale, from US Treasury Seizure auction. It says "for export only", but I dunno how strictly they enforce that.

Send an email to [email protected] to find out. I don't know what the phone number there is, I'd just email and ask.

Thought people might find this interesting, lots of other neat stuff for sale too
