Their site is kinda hard to navigate. Looks like they will be available sometime this month?? But price range looks to be between 1800-2200

I'm really bumbed by this. Price is more than the most expensive cat-back exhausts. Sound level is way beyond street legal. Cats are gone.

On the flip side, that's 313 hp to the hubs which means mid 290s to the wheels on a 6mt...

Dammit!

Is the engine on that stock? It sure didn't sound like it. Headers on a non stock motor add more hp gain than on a stock motor. It's not a linear scale. It did sound great... for the track or if you just like pissing off the neighbors

John Those are so nice, it sounds like a big block V8 at the drag strip when he backed out of the garage, it's like an F1 car meets tokyo drift, all on the VQ platform

Why so pricey?

I had long tube headers, no cats and just glass pack mufflers on my hemi ram for about 2 months. It was so loud I wore ear protection driving to and from work. It also had NO top end, as soon as I shifted into 3rd it would fall falt on its face. Also police would follow me everywhere just waiting for me to speed.

I went ahead and ran some additional 3" pipe and did a Dynomax race muffler.

Video proof.... of the falling down in 3rd gear this run ended up a 15.2 at 89 mph. I have a bunch of low 14 slips after I fixed the exhaust and a best every 14.05. Not bad for 5200lbs

Their website claims the type of bends and exact measurements for length are specific. These are built by hand so the cost is gonna go up when it takes someone a long time to build these.

My guess is that they have some aftermarket cams on that engine. Judging by the way it sounds...kinda has a lope to it.

Either way, they claim +35WHP with these headers.

These would be awesome if they weren't so loud.

Jeff,

The video link didnt work for me.

35 whp, and the excessive noise I would take in stride I could deal with earplugs for the GF... I would be able to say whatever I wanted, and wouldn't have to roll down the window in the winter to hear the exhaust. No seriously, I lust after such a rumble.

Did you hear the exhaust from inside the car? It wasn't very loud from inside. You'd probably have to roll down the windows to really get the full effect!

Oh my friggin God, I would be sleeping inside this car and perhaps eating dinner inside of it, everyday. The sound is so loud and so beautiful. Driving such a car would be like making love to 75 virgins.

Cops already give me a hrad time with my test pipes and catback exhaust. With this long headers, it would be a nightmare for me because I would feel harrassed and persecuted.

I also get the feeling that this car could be a formidable challenge to a similar Z with Stillen stage 2 SC. If it is true that the Z used in the test is stock, then this would be the best middle of the road mod for many people. And i bet it would be safer than forcing air into the cylinders in an SC or turbo.

I took another look at the peak HP and Torque rpms and they look very similar to what i already experience with my testpipes judging by the power I feel at 5,000 rpms. They willneed to perform this test without Nismo street cams.

You can estimate your HP and TQ levels by driving now?

I have a feeling that the rest of the exhaust could be tuned for ...less volume without significantly sacraficing performance.

Anybody want to paypal me $2k so I can test these out?

Nate:

Not at all. I just feel most of the torque these days, with testpipes, somewhere around the 5000 rpm mark. Of course, this is not exact as I am not a machine, and prior to this video, I have been saying that testpipes give that much power somewhere around 5,000 rpm and slightly beyond. Looking at the video with the dyno numbers seem about right based on my own experiences. Afterall, the contraption in that car is basicall a hheader, testpipes, and catback exhaust, all in one.

Anyway, if you tune for less volume, what do you think that would do to the rpm??? Probably increase the rpm range where you get the most power and thus increasig engine temperature and possibly activating the speed governor or engine shut-off at redline? What do you think?

My thoughts were to add a single high-flow cat similar to the motordyne design and also possible a resonator. In essence tuning for volume and tone.

You're right though. These are basically headers and test pipes in one. I can definitely see why this design is more efficient than the OEM design, but the illegal aspect and overly high volume (IMO) needs to go for ME!

The biggest reason that this is so efficient is the equal length and the merging style of the piping

Unusual for what it is, but very effective.

I'd like to hear that with a resonator/hfc behind that. I'm sure it'd tone it down some, which might make it PERFECT.

That's pretty damn crazy!! A lil loud for my taste...but if it was my personal track car and not my DD...I would be all over it!

BTW... does anyone know where this was filmed? It looks incredibly like a mechanic shop around here.

Thanks for the post!

It is in Brampton. I checked out the website and they specialize in Nissans, especially in SR20s.

Not my cup of tea. Nice gains, but way too f'in loud (I know, it's for the track).

Isn't that halarious? Every other part is coming from California or somewhere overseas. Finally, the Canucks get pay back.

Oh, so those would be canadian funds that's like $1500+ US.

That really does sound bad @ss. I usually don't like the sound of other loud exhausts on the g35 - but that thing sounds like a V8.

Something is wrong with your girl?

That was how I did things with the ram, install new parts, go to track, evaluate performace. The lost back pressure killed the top end. I ran another couple feet of pipe and got rid of the glass packs. ET dropped to 14.5's
