I didn’t realize how rare they were when I brought mine in 2018. Initially I seen them more often in salvage yards and on Craigslist. But I think high maintenance and fewer parts pushed it into “rare” category.

When I think of rare, I think of the J30 or Nissan Skyline lol. But I feel like Q45 is closely related to the Maxima enough to still be popular. But seeing now after hitting something in the road and not being able to find a basic fog light cover, that it is getting rare lol.

Btw speaking of rare:

Is there any member here who lives in Minneapolis? I was at the gym there and someone parked right next to me in an almost identical 97-98 model Q45. I had to do a double take lol.

I seen the guy walk in but I was on the other end of the gym and started to chat but he left before I had the chance.

That’s why I say, they’re not common but there’s been times I’ve seen plenty on the the roads or even auto dealers online. I know the i30 was much more popular especially the 99+ models. I was able to redo my entire Maxima interior with i30 leather a few years ago. That’s how easy it was to find them (except the dash and steering wheel).

But now, even they’re becoming a little harder to find. I’m considering coming up with a game plan to upgrade or repaint in the next year or 2. I just need to first get a new house before I can focus on a car upgrade.
