I have a 93 coupe with a de. It has auto transmission. When i bought it it was slower than a E motor. I thought it was a fuel problem so i replaced everything in the fuel system except the lines...I also replaced the MAF. Hollowed out the cat, disconnected the EGR, and it was still slow. So then, i disconnected my knock sensor to put it back on base time, still slow. I hooked it back up becasue of an idol problem lol, still slow. What other suggestions do you have?

manual swap. auto motors are great once they are converted to manual. the cams are more agressive for some reason. my KA is feels unlike anyother 240 i have ever driven. pulls hard.

also u can remove ( if u wanna go faster)PowersteeringEGR completely ( and plug)Mech FanAc( its a clutch mechanizzzzem, but get rid of it anyway)

and have a boost ready empty engine bay like me

You know, my old 91 auto did something similar, I replaced all the ground wires from the battery to the engine with 2 gauge battery wire. Worked great afterwords.

well...today I found out it was out of cam alignment. I timed it and it seems to be running a whole lot better. The intake cam was off 1 tooth, and the exhaust cam was off 2. Now all i think i need to do for all power to be replinished, is to do the 5-speed swap. Thankyou for the replies.
