I just got back from beachbend and im pumped, i cant even sleep. When i got there my car ran a 20.01 in the 1/4, first run (no traction). My second run i ran a 15.3 (still ok). Then i ran a 17.3 (i smoked 1st through 3rd gear BAADDD!!!) Then i ran a 15.1 (quite respectable, but not good enough). Then i decided to take out all the junk out of my car to make it lighter, then i let some air out of my front tires. In my final run i ran...

A 14.8 AT 93.95MPH!!!!!! :ylsuper :ylsuper :ylsuper :ylsuper :ylsuper :ylsuper :ylsuper :ylsuper ALL MOTOR!! Nedless to say i was very very exited about my run considering that my goal was a 14.9. At first i thought there was a mistake. I couldnt believe it 14.8!!!! I was dancing mean ol jig!!! So needless to say im a very happy man!!! I actualy ran against corey with the spec v (I cant remember his screen name off hand). He ran a 15.2 which is still good but he was planing on getting high 14s though. I left before he could run again, so if any body knows what cory ran please post it. He has a very nice car with a lot of mods, so i was pretty excited to beat a spec v of that caliber!

yeah, that track looked to be sucking until the end when it dried out some, you got the 14.8 at the end right?

I don't think he broke into the 14's but I really can't remember at all, should've used the camera I had sitting in Skwerel's car...

Like mods? Well I have; spoon ecu (takes redline up to 9,300rpm), nology hotwires, ngk iridium ix plugs, AEM cold air (wraped with insulation from home depot), Skunk2 cat-back exhaust, gutted cat, polyurathane motor mount inserts, Exedy stage 1 clutch, skunk2 coil-overs, tokico blue shocks, rota slipstreams with cheap tires, tenzo racing seats with 4 point racing harness's, B&M shift knob, hood raised in the rear (to let hot air get out faster). Thats it.:D

I spent $10 total on the insulation and it was the best $10 i spent on my car ever. It is amazing what home depot can do for cars.

Thanks nlzmo400r! I've been trying to impress the few people out there that have good taste in cars for about 6 months now, and nissan people comment the most about it. I guess its because theres to many riced out hondas out there and when they see one thats tastefully done the comment on it. So heres to all the nissan people who have good tast!!! (thats about all of you!!):bearchug :bearchug

haha, not bad, sounds liek my friends eclipse, we find so much crap in his car. It flooded up to his hood one time, and he got 2 inches of water in his car, well about a month later, i was cleaning it for him, and found his long lost cell phone that he had lost about 2 months earlier

Joel,I was pretty impressed with how your car ran last night. Repoman improved his times over his current runs at IRP. When you all started at 6:30, traction was a huge problem. As the night went on, people had not problem hooking up their tires. Great job man.

Joel that was a great time in the GSR. It is a nice looking car as well. Congrats on your 14.8 run. You should have heard me cussing in my car as I saw you coming up on the side hehe. I had the same experience when I was racing in the LS USCC against Tony this past June hehe Damn Spec V has no top end at all but you drove very well, props to you :fight .

And since you were wondering what my final time of the day was it was actually one of my worst times of the day. I spun the tires really bad coming of the line and got like a 2.3 60ft and only ended up with a 15.4 or something like that on my last run. I should have tried the right lane but since I had such a bad experience in it on my first run (I spun all through first and second) and got a 16 second run :angry7: so I vowed not to go in that lane again hehe

Maybe we'll get another chance to line up again :D

why do i hear about the bad top end of sec Vs, i figured with gearing and the power they have, they'd be good up top (8o+mph), hell my altima is best up top, atleast when im racing eclipse's and 24o's and civics/integras and such, now that little encounter with a g35 coupe this weekend was a different story:rolleyes that got ugly quick
