So I took my altima coupe into the dealer to have the oil changed(the free one, I'm not paying those bastards to do something I can do) and have this rattle coming from the front driver dash when driving over 60 MPH looked at yesterday.I got a call last night saying they couldnt find it so asked if I can come in today(Saturday) and drive with the master tech or whatever to see if we can find it. So I said sure. So I went today and drove and heard the noise and the tech was like I dont hear anything. Heres the thing, If I heard the noise from the passenger side then he sure as well heard it from the driver seat. But Wait, it gets even better. So after the drive he said Ill talk to the techs and have them look at it. So I was back at 330 to pick it up, and my car was in the SAME spot with the wheels turned the SAME way when the idiot parked it. Not straighting out the wheels when parked bothers me so I notcied it. I said to the service manager why did the tech lie to me and say they were going to look at it when you didnt. A bunch of blah blah blah we couldnt replicate the noise and I said well I dont trust him, you or anyone at this dealership.Suffice it to say I am still steaming from this incident. Im gonna call nissan hq

Oh, and if anyone is in Eastern PA, dont go to Rothrock Motor sales for any of their brands(they have a bunch that they sell). Save yourself some stress and go to a dealer thats a little further away from you or just someone else. I had enough trouble before this entire incident today trying to get them to dealer trade for my car.

Call Nissan's HQ. Same thing happend to me. I had the heatshield rattle problem but they refused to look at it (before an official recall was issued). I went in and tried to explain to them what I was hearing but since I'm young and look young they brushed me off and didn't do anything. So I called Nissan USA HQ. Took it back a week later and they addressed me as sir. Asked me if there were any other problems I had with the car and if there was anything they could to to imporve my visit. I got a call a few days later asking if I was satisfied with the visit and got a survey to fill from Nissan asking me about the experience. I gave it all 10's but I never went back to them again. I go to one a bit further now who are much much better.

I have altima coupe 2.5s. I had heat shield, engine skipping, breaks, rattling sound from dash, and other minor problems. I bought this car may 2007 and NOT EVEN A THING IS FIXED. I called nissan HQ and they said "sorry, there is nothing we can do" Can you give me heads up about rattling sound how they fixed?

I didnt get the sound fixed...they didnt even look at it. And I wouldnt exactly call it a rattling, sounds like Maracas(that instrument you shake with the beans or whatever inside). Normally starts when I am going 70 on a non windy day, and as low as 60 on a windy day and gets louder with speed. It sounds like its coming from the driver side dash speaker, but its definatly not the speaker making the sound IMO. Regardless, my thinking is Nissan (and other sprobably) dealers will do all they can to avoid trying to fix rattles since you dont make lots of money doing that, and there isn tmuch for corporate to reimburse them for. Bottom line I am so fed up with my dealer.....and you guys dont even know the trouble i went through JUST getting my dealer to do a dealer trade for the exact car I wanted.

Anyone in PA or NJ....JUST SAY NO TO ROTHROCK NISSAN, DODGE, ISUZO, CRYSLER(and a few other brands I think). They realy really suck. A bunch arrogant jerks that feel entitled and they are doing ME a service by selling me a car.
