I just started playing on SpireStone PvP Server (Horde side) with a bunch of friends. We all used to have alliance characters on a PvE server so we knew the alliance cities very well.

Only level 28 and bored tonight, I decided to see how far I could run through StormWind (opposing faction major city, for all you nonWoWers). I was making my way around StormWind pretty easy by jumping into the water and just using the pathing of some of the guards and knowing their patrol routes. I only died a couple of times, then my friends told me I should start screenshoting the trip and go all way the into IronForge (another major opposing faction city, connected by a train running between the two cities.)

Running around SW.

Taking a break, planning my run to the Tram

Didn't take any pics to the tram because I was in a rush lol

Outside of the tram

Tram Ride

Standing near the Great Forge

Using what I guess you could call an exploit, I climbed to the top of a building in Iron Forge. No guards could attack me and I could easily hide from the many higher level players in the area when they attacked me. It's really difficult to get to this spot even if you know how to do it so I wasn't worried about anyone reaching me (until I got careless and let someone hit me with a long range weapon).

Then I made a mad dash to another popular area and used another climbing exploitish type thing to get into an "unreachable" window.

Waving to the alliance trying to figure out how to get to me

Setting up spells so they can see me easier.

Killin fools

They eventually got smart and a bunch of people stood around until they found the one spot they could cast spells that would reach me.

Sooo... I used my super secrete escape route! (AKA: Hole in world)

I am made of win.

Your Ironforge is dead. No hordie on Stormrage could have had time to have done that.

IF isn't very big now that BC has came out but there is still a large number of people there. Being only level 28 at the time, the guards were more a threat (due to the fact that spawn around you and are fast as ****) then any player would ever be on a solo run through.

But I am very sneaky and know a few glitches in IF. I also used ghost wolf + water walk to get past most people in SW.

I played a on Private server before. I thought it was kinda lame because you could get to level 70 in a day and everything was super easy. WoW is easy enough as it is, I don't want it spoon fed to me.

Plus theres not many people playing on Private servers usually.

Well, that all depends on what server you play on. The one I am on they have set up to the same XP rates as Blizzard so it takes just as long. Some other servers have higher XP rates.

I like the lower population. I would avoid IF and SW like the plague because the instant I got in there my framerate would drop to between 2 and 5, because there are always hundreds of people in the city. I dont think I have ever dropped below 30 on the private server.

The smaller community seems to have much more helpful and friendly players. Everyone gets along with each other, and if they dont the GMs will deal with them. And the latency is much better than Blizzards, and I dont have to pay :o

I guess its not for everyone, but the fact that its free is enough for me. The other things are just perks.

I'm on smolderthorn and i could bet all my gold that you wouldn't get past the gates of any of those cities on my server..............however, i did attempt to overrun thunderbluff in a raid and we cleared about half of it until the respawn rate jumped dramatically and everyone of us (20 in total) got wiped................fun stuff, good times.

Getting past the gates in SW is hard and takes a couple of deaths. But once your inside, it's all pathing and knowing where some of the guards spawn at (and like I said, in IF its knowing world glitches.)

In SW it's hard to for players to kill you cause they can't catch me in ghost form. Their spells are useless cause I can get out of site quickly because of all the buildings. Hunters can create problems though but you got the canals to jump into for that.

This is when the Alliance tried to zerg Orgrimmar and kill Thrall last month:

The Alliance is yellow and the horde is green.

Some more fighting

The aftermath of the unsuccessful attack:

Lots of dead stupid alliance!!!
