Wow Cube Lemon? Many Sad faces. Door handles replaced now maybe ENGINE?!??!?!??!

So at 6,000 miles. My car would do rough starts and turn-offs. There would be also be a loud winding noise when it would turn off. (it ended up being the muffler causing that noise) At 11k (after being able to be free from school work) two days ago I finally get to take it to the dealer. I had gone to them the week prior and they had to special order the mid section of the exhaust to replace to stop that from happening. It had solved that problem. However, when I got there, the idle had become very loud and what not. So they inspected it and said that last time that happened. They had to replace an engine on a Cube...as well as many Sentra engines. So to cut a long story short. The car was kept overnight and the techs had to call the Nissan Techline to talk to Nissan engineers to get answers. They were instructed to take apart the timing chain assembly and re-apply it and check the oil pan for metal shards! It was quiet all day today until maybe at night. Maybe I am paranoid but when I turn the car off again it kind of vibrates and does the hissing vacuum noise. How does everyone elses car idle, start and turn-off? I want to know if I am going nuts or not. If possible, coud you do some open hood videos? I know that is asking too much, but it would be a great help. Considering all I can find on youtube are intake and exhaust clips...I am thinking of maybe going back to the dealer and turning a new one on and off. Ugh.

Definitely. I bought it at Peoria Nissan, so I can't really go back whenever I can ahhhh. But I should take it to them and see what they can do. Did yours always do that? Or did it start recently AZhitman?

Hey guys, I live in AZ as well. I bought mine from Coulter Nissan in Glendale. I have not had any of those noises yet. I have only put about 400 miles on it so far though. We will see.

Randode, I would really like to come and look at your Cube though. Did you do the roof mod yourself? Let me know where you are going to be and when, maybe we can meet up.
