Not my auction, I'm just amazed at the condition of the car: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...%3AIT

If it really goes for under $4k, that's just an incredible price. I mean look at those front seats, do they really look like they've had 130k+ miles of someone sitting in them? The whole car is just immaculate.

Dunno why I felt the need to post this other than the fact that I've got Z31 fever recently and I thought this was just an absurdly nice car to be changing hands for anything south of $7500 or so.

that is a clean AE but it's still high miles and for a bit more you coud have a Z32T which is what most of the younger buyers woulod perfer, there was a n 88 Z31T on ebay recently I seem to recall it sold for 14k? but this was a new car you should have seen it!

lol. I have the exact same phone holder in my convertible. I wonder just how old those things are.

And I agree. The condition looks fantastic. Especially for the miles and age.

I've never seen a decent Z32TT for sale anywhere near $4k, all the ones around here that are in good shape are trading for $10k++.

Z32TT's are sort of a dime a dozen around here anyway, everyone's got one. I'd much rather have a seriously fast Z31 AE or SS and be unique.

that interior shot is the same one I kept staring at.

Wonder if Paul (ZBum) has seen this.

I'd rather have that than a Z32. Nice.

But of course I have. And I have it watched. I have been putting as many of the 50th AE's as I can find in the Z31 registry. There have been a few come through e-bay lately. And that's a nice one for not much money.

All they have to do is follow the link in my signature. This one right here:

Actually, any Z31 owner can add themselves. As can the Z32 owners if they desire. The old registry that was on z31.com was very bad and full of wrong information. It's since been replaced. I'd been slowly working on creating the new registry. Eventually, it will all get moved back over to Z31.com, but until then, it will be up and running on my site.

I doubt they will take the time to get on the net and register. They have been around since before the internet as we know it. Their club is not web based. Although they do have a website for club info.

very clean car

Its nice, and maybe someday I'll buy one to add to the collection, but I've never been sold on the Z31's looks and the performance is lackluster.

Be at Branson Z Fest next year.http://www.bransonzfest.com/

There should be a few Z31s that might give you a whole new view of the Z31. Mostly, their tail lights.

edit: okay, maybe not yours, but they've been known to upset a few Z32 owners.

Crikey, here's another one: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...wItem I've really got Z31 sickness bad right now, but I'm sorta holding out for a real nice Shiro, because I know that if I get anything else, I'll always be looking to trade it for a real nice Shiro

I really like Z32's, I definitely think they're more capable cars, but my interest in Z31's just goes way beyond the mechanical competency of the platform, there's just something really cool and 80's-tacular about them. If I was just intent on building a really really fast Z, I'd probably want an RB-swapped HLS30

Besides, the prospect of working on and owning a Z32TT has always sorta scared me, which is probably unfounded, but for some reason I feel like it'd just be one notch up the "trouble" scale from a rotary, if for no reason other than how tightly everything is packed in there and the fact that I don't have hoist/lift access.

I favor the Z31 as well but most of the younger crowd just drools for the Z32 ( I currently have a Z32TT gonna replace it with a Z31T next year)

Over the years of owning a Z31, I seem to favor them more and more having driven one. I have driven a very quick Z32 TT, however I just feel like I couldn't control it as well as the Z31.-Kev
