All the clubs and forums could meet one day at an airport? Each club would have their own tent, and we could race all day (and night) to determine which car forum is the king. I think that would be the most fun ever....

How about abandoned airports? There are airports here and there that have been shut down because urban growth forced the development of a larger facility nearby. Heh, you might be on to a good (and profitable) idea. But then there's the expense of re-paving if the runways are made of anything but asphalt.

I dont enjoy airport circuits , very rough and you tend to break more stuff , sebring is a old ww2 concrete airstrip , weve broken lots of parts there on the racecar , hime joints in the suspension seem to be quite a problem for us. after the ususal 15-20 lap event there is a huge tightening session from stuff being jolted loose , very hard on your back too as the car hits expansion joints that are around 3/4 to 1 inch around 85-135 mph. We have broken less stuff at events at daytona and road atlanta. But playing on the taxiways that are ususaly asphalt would be fun , i remeber lots of autocross events at macdill AFB in florida , most of those were just lots of fun with mimiumal work between runs (also its one "lap" instead of 20).

I really think we should all be in SCCA , then get together at autocrosses and just have a good time and party/comapre notes between runs , i see alot of drag racers here , would be nice to get them and a few canyon carvers out for some fun ....

Something like this would take SOOOO much effort tho... and it would have to be somewhere fair. Like the dead center of the USA, so everyone could have a decent drive out there. We would have to include a ton of places too.... like 240sx club, 300zx club, Honda club, RX7 club, BMW club, Supra club, Celica club... etc....

Not to mention we would need someone to be in the city where it would be, just to get a permit....

The SCCA has held SOLO II events at a small local airport in Louisville called Bowman Field. It appears to be a quality course and larger then most parking lots.

We could do it in the desert and call it "Race Wars". Wouldn't that be sweet? :-P

Well.... seeing the Subaru forum being coverted into all pink colors makes me a bit confident that'd we'd hold our own :) Not to mention how many stock Honda's that would show.
