I'm about to do all new LED's, needle kit from import intelligence, HVAC LED's, also gonna try for LED cigarette lighter...

I know there's a write up for S14 HVAC but you have to ghetto fab the bulbs, well I found an easier way...

And I was just wondering if anyone would want this write up? Just wanted to finally contribute to NICO a little bit...

So I tried to install my HVAC led's and the fan control and buttons still wouldn't light up, so stupid me tried to tighten them (cause they just screw in) and well lets just say I fried my A/C control unit lights (just the LED's) but I think something else was wrong besides that, cause I got the temp control part to light up but couldn't get the other two lit up, of course I could've had them in wrong (seeings how they only go in one way) but now I have no idea, and am pretty sure I need to reorder 3 more LED's... UGH!!!!!

HAHA no I found somewhere to get LED bulbs that are almost exactly the same as HVAC bulbs...

But sorry everyone, gonna have to wait on the HVAC bulbs, I kinda blew the circuit board trying to adjust the LEDs... UGH!!! Should have tech write up by next monday!!!

i did it on my s13 WC, i got mine from advacned auto parts in the ricer section. they come in a 4 pack with huge pigtails and inline resistors. when you take your hvac apart there are two screw in halogen bulbs that come out and you have to solder the led wires to the circuit board. i thought there was a writeup on here for it.

zerothread?id=174340

found it

and here is one for all the buttons in your cluster

zerothread?id=282768

and another for the s14

zerothread?id=337580

here is the red needle kit and clear needles

and day time

being someone that has had them and used them for 2 years i can say they suck and i DONT recommend them to anyone. the only reason i kept them at all was the fact that i could not return the needles to stock once the paint was scraped off.

WRONG!!! LED bulbs I found require no modification, Simply take out and put back in...

Two things, one you have those not so awesome lay over faces, and two they're white and the needle kits don't look as good on white faces, black is where it looks best... Just FYI...

*UPDATE*Put blue LED bulbs in gauge cluster, looks pretty good, but def need the glow needles, you can't see the needles too well, I'm hoping the needle kit will help with this and make it look a lot better, tomorrow I'm also ordering a new A/C controler and do the HVAC install guide later on, but I should have the gauge cluster with needles write up by sunday (at the utmost latest). Minus the clock LED cuase the blue looks sweet, but with stock clock lighting looks stupid. Also gonna have cigarette light and possibly window switch...

So check back soon!!!!

I just got the green kit for my Alty, they recommend painting the needles white to get the best forward reflection. But wtf would I paint them with? Any ideas?
