There's this guy I went to highschool with. I personally believe he's a pathological liar. He says that his family is filthy rich, yet he lives in the lower-middle class part of town. His parents drive a Camry and a Odyssey. He just gives a lot of signs that he's lying.
So after graduation, he told a friend of mine that he got stomach cancer and he has to be shipped off to Germany for treatment and stuff. This was about 4 months ago. He apparently lost like 40lbs and blah blah blah. So yesterday while I was at blockbuster I saw him dropping off some movies. He looke EXACTLY like he did 4 months ago. Hell he was even working (wearing his work clothes) and driving.
I don't know of many people who get stomach cancer and recovers from it in 4 months and gets all his hair back and etc...
Why would someone lie about having cancer?

Cancer is not necessarily environmental, although it can be caused by such factors.
Genetics indeed playsa strong role.
Anyway, my half-brother pulled that nonsense a few years ago in an effort to garner sympathy (and money) out of the family. Turns out he was just a bum who wanted to avoid paying his bills and keep living like a pimp.

He probably lied about it for sympathy from chicks & played it off to the guys at your school so that his lie isn't ruined. But I wouldn't lie about such a thing. My father died from lung cancer & I cringe to the thought of putting a cig in mouth after I saw what he went through. As for pathological LIARS, they will slip up on their world of lies.
