Would you guys buy a 2000 Infiniti G20 with over 100K miles?

A great resource for Nissan Sentra, Infiniti G20, 200sx, Pulsar, NX1600, NX2000, Tsuru, Primera and Sunny owners.

I'm in the market for a used Infiniti G20...I'm currently looking into a 2000 Infiniti G20 with 105,000 miles, original owner and in good condition.

Would you guys consider buying a car with over 100k miles?

Thanks for your replies.

On a G20, 105,000 isn't a big problem. There aren't a whole lot of issues with the cars period, including after 100k. As long as it got basic maintenance (proper fluid changes, brake pads, tires, etc), it wasn't beat on, and a little love was put on by the previous owner(s), I'd say you're set.

My G20 was purchased with 140k miles on it, now has 154k. Haven't done anything to it except replace the clutch and throw on a 200sx transmission.

If its a good deal, take it. Motors can be had very cheaply.

I've got 155K on my 1995 G20tA now and Infiniti techs tell me that with routine maintainance it will go 300K easily.

I have a 95 G20t with 156K (and a low-mileage 2001 JDM takeout motor), it's an awesomely fun car.

Engine cost me $450 BTW and runs like a raped ape.

The Hitman G is further proof that the RR SR gets a bit more flak than it probably deserves.

I forgot, Greg, what were/are the plans for that G? Just the motor swap or some mods on top of that?

I love the G20! I wanted to get one a while back. If you have motor problems then a build + turbo kit would work wonders!

You mean the FF SR?

Well, it's gonna get header, intake, and a catback (already bought) which my son has to install (his first attempts at modding). NICOmom picked out some BLANGIN' chrome 17's for it, and I just picked up some cheap tires.

All I need now is some dropsprings and a set of struts and it's set.

Oh, and a steering rack - it's FUBAR.

I've always kinda wanted a G20, seems like a very nice little car, older ones can be had for a song.

I can second the cheap engines observation, I see them on ebay all the time going for positively nothing, low miles.

Pretty cool to give your son install "assignments", I like it.

It's such a fun car to drive.

A 20K-mile JDM takeout motor from an 01 Primera cost $450 shipped, took 16 hours to swap, and has 15-20 more HP than the USDM motor...

Can't beat it. Love the G20.

No he meant RR, Roller Rocker. Get some KYB GR2's and Tein S techs. Cheapest setup and almost stock ride.
