SpectraFlair isn't some kind of Office Space joke, either. It's made of aluminum flakes encapsulated in magnesium fluoride, a "glass-like substance." It gives the paint a special sparkle.

So does the wagon. :naughty:
Non-V wagons are auto, but the V gets 6MT in all 3 forms.

Still too bad you can get an LLT with the Tremec 6 speed, but I can cope with that as long as the LSA gets a third pedal.

I could live with that. :) Especially if I can have the Black Diamond Paint.

I'd drive it, but I do find some of the design elements odd. For a car called the Black Diamond and so seemingly set on being a black tuxedo I don't get the bright yellow calipers or the contrasting coloured interior panels. The mesh style grill looks like something an Autozone tuner would slap on and while the paint does look amazing there have been OEM tri-coats offered for years.

It's nice, but still lacks the styling coming out of Munich, Stuttgart & Zuffenhausen (I'm ignoring the ugly that is the Panamera).

I'll own one. Was reading an article the other day that said Caddy is losing their butts on the CTS-V wagon... but it's GREAT PR.

Drive, yes. Buy, no. I'd go with a simple black one. the problem with special paints is the cost/difficulty to match them should you need body work. And with so many idiots on the road, bodywork seems inevitable.

I like it, but I like the way the sedan looks better. Would I drive one? Without question.

I actually read EXACTLY the opposite. Since the engineering was already done for the sedan and wagon, the only R&D that had any actual cost on the project was extra bracing in the rear of the body and specific suspension tuning for the wagon itself. The article I read said after only 37 sales, the V-wagon will have paid for itself.

With all 3 variants of the car being identical mechanically, it was a no-brainer to translate the V into wagon form. Even the wheelbase is the same from sedan to coupe to wagon. Honda would do well to take a lesson away from this for future Accords.

I read that to make the wagons, they'll have remade what it took to do them with I think 360 or so having been sold.

most of the hardware from the Sedan was a direct swap.

Hmm...Road and Track says they will have recouped their cost by selling 37 of them.

I've seen the regular coupe up close. Its very nice, especially in darker colours. It's on my shortlist when it comes time to replace the Saab.

It's a damn shame the XLR never got an LS3 or LS7 under the hood

Well, its a luxury car so putting a manual in there wouldn't really do much to help it compete with the XK and SL. It was also way overpriced from the start.
