would you buy this transmission?

i have an auto and i hate it. a friend of mine has a '95 5speed he would sell me for only 250 bucks. he thinks the 2nd gear synchro is goin out. would ya'll go through the trouble of swapping auto to manual? when i was at the old board i remember bookmarking a page that had EVERYTHING needed to do that swap. so i know what all i need. i could just buy the transmission, let it sit in my garage while i slowly get the other stuff needed to make the swap possible. or i could just stick w/ the auto and not worry about swapping the whole transmission out. whats your opinion?

can you not get synchro's fixed? yea i had a page similar to the one you have a link to, but its nicer lookin and has step by step instructions in case i need them, so i kept yours too

You can get the synchro fixed but it might cost you just as much as you paid for the transmission itself.

How many miles are on the transmission? Do you plan on doing an engine swap, and if so when?

If you're not doing a swap, buy the transmission and rebuild it. If you are eventually doing a swap, deal with the slushbox. I would never buy a transmission off a junkyard car, unless it had extremely low miles, but that is hard to find in a yard.

the miles on the transmission i want, there is like just 56k or sumthin. i'm not swapping motors. i wanna stap NA. have daunt do his NA work on it eventually.
