I voted "yes", based on price alone with one qualification. 128mb isn't much at all. I rip my albums at fairly high quality for MP3s and Tool's "Lateralus" comes to 115mb.

I wouldn't buy this unless I wanted a back-up player to use while exercising or in any other situation where an HD based player would get lost or destroyed.

Wouldn't this also work as a "thumb drive" as well? My local Target (their clearance is the best) had several, I'l check and see, they may have even marked them down MORE.

Yes. I wouls mostly for the Thumb Drive capabilities. That's a good price for that part alone. The MP3 is an added bonus. Phillips is not the very best electronics brand, but they are far from the worst. I haven't had any problems with Phillips deviced that I can remember.

I would, mainly for the thumbdrive capabilities. I really need one for school.

I said yes because I'm attracted to shiney things, like the phillips button. Accually thats not that bad of a price I guess its better if you don't have one to begin with. If not I'm sure it would sell on ebay. Nick

I'd buy it for the price and if the size is almost like a USB memory stick that'd be great too. Only downside is the memory size and it's not expandable.

Those of you needing a thumb drive should look elsewhere. Definitely get USB 2.0--the transfer times really add up. You can get 256MB for about $30 I think if you shop around. I think the player is OK at $50, but I'd hold out a bit longer and spend about the same on something better.

Thats a damn good price, I'd take it for that reason alone. But my preferred 128MB wearable MP3 player is made by Gateway. It has an expansion slot, FM radio, voice recorder, and great sound quality. I got my dad one for his birthday and he loves it. He also uses it to transfer data between his two laptops and his desktop PC.
