Would you benefit from gtir cams?

ok so heres the deal, my friend wants to sell his b13 sentra, has a fwd sr n/a. he upgraded to gtir stock cams and that car just opend up, it was crazy the first drive when they were installed and stil are. so would i benefit from them? i have a redtop sr, dont plan on upgrading to bigger turbo for a whil. i know the stock de cams work on the sr, so would the gtir cams help? i have the basic boltons with roughly 12 psi when racing ect, daily is like 7.

btw here are the specs i beleive. 248 deg 10.0mm lift. in and ex

btw, i think the stock de cams are the exact same as the stock sr because i was using the exhaust cam for a little whil, anyobdy els use gtir cams in theyr redtop?

remember that gti-r motors have solid lifters...

So you use that on your HLAs and you are going to see some ugly things happen. Ramp characteristics on solid cams are more aggressive than hydraulic cams.

so is it bad my friend has them on his ser? or do they also run solid lifters?

nope se-r motor runs on hydraulic lifters just like ours.

His valve train is going to start wearing out....

so would i benefit to upgrade to solid lifters anyway? i know you did it, il have to go throught the thread again.

I'd be surprised to see GTi-R cams even fit. Their exhaust cam drives the CAS from the rear of the cam where ours drives from the front.
