If the oil eventually dried up (and there was no other alternative such as hydrogen, kryptonite, nuclear fusion) and we had to revert to using horses and donkeys, how many of us would spend as much time, emotional energy, bragging rights, and money on them? What would be your first mod for your donkey or horse?????

I ride regularly? I could not do the 60+ miles a day on a horse I don't know anyone who could.

If there was no oil hydrogen would suddenly become viable. We will never revert back to animals for transportation sorry.

Of course in theory.

Hm..... I never liked ricers so this would be not my option.

[IMG][/IMG]

I would probably add some more ponies

But the other question is what would you do with your G.

I would install a anti theft system like this.

[IMG][/IMG]

I would put intake on mine I think. More food more power right.

don't worry, we'll never run out of oil for another 1k years. It will just become more expensive to extract out of different media...and if we run out of hydrogen, we'd all be dead!!

By the time they formed a committee to study ways to decrease emissions and a committee to improve hay mileage, I think the horse would look something like a Octopus.

Instead, Honda is about to release a Hydrogen vehicle called the FCX. It will only be available in the Los Angeles area, and then at $600 a month. You won’t be able to keep it at lease end, but, on the good side, you’ll never have to visit a gas station again.Oh, the $600 includes all maintenance and service for the life of the lease. This is the direction we are all heading in (IMO). Operating costs are expected to be about 1/3 less than what it costs to run a gasoline car. And you can drive solo in the party lanes.

Now, if the government really wants alternate fueled vehicles, and if having those vehicles becomes economically feasible when fuel prices are highest, what do you think the chances of the government ever doing anything about gas prices?

I am always up for removing weight from cars for better efficiency and speed, so I would probably shave mine to loose the excess weight of all that hair. But I also want it to look good, so instead it would probably get waxed for a nice shine. Probably dangerous trying to wax a horse to reduce weight and improve aerodynamics. I don't think it could handle the pain, so I would just shave it, clip the ears and tail, the tattoo for a custom look.

Boy how your mind just wanders when you are bored.

Light wieght titanium horse shoes.Regular high protein diet, for daily driving. If it was race dedicated, then definately some juice.

I can't believe I am actually posting this.

Interesting replies, with some very creative thinking here! Thanks for your very wise, well reasoned and brilliant opinions--- more are welcomed and the more outlandish the better.

I would shoot the donkey/horse with my 7MM, bury it and wait patiently until it turned into oil.

Ok,

So after a long thinking. I changed my mind. I talked to my mechanic

there he/she(have not figured it out yet) is in work:[IMG][/IMG]

We decided to go with a more efficient version(2 wheels/4leg combo). If we would like an aditional 4 leg we can ad anytime to this.

[IMG][/IMG]

Of course there is different option for the body style:

The coupe:

[IMG][/IMG]

The sedan to carry more people:[IMG][/IMG]

or if you concerned about carry other bigger load then that would be your option(upgrade to the more powerfull engine(animal):[IMG][/IMG]

Of course there is always a smaller version body:[IMG][/IMG]

So my mechanic was so confident we can do this he offered me his life if he can't do this mod for me:[IMG][/IMG]

His crew is capable for roadside assistance too:

[IMG][/IMG]

Now that's what I call service

He is a little busy right now working with my friend on a tight solution:[IMG][/IMG]

So what do you think?

I know, I know, I've got way too much time in my head.
