You can make an LS1 V8 from an F-Body or a 2JZ I6 from a Supra work in your car. It all depends on your mechanical and electrical abilities, or the amount of money you're willing to shell out for somebody else to do it for you.

Please read the sticky posts and do some searching. This is very, very basic knowledge.

Also, be wary of buying motors from eBay -- the price is deceiving if you're going to need a full rebuild on a tired motor.

OP, what are you confused about?

Are you thinking that a S14 sr wont fit in a s13?

Its been done lots of times, Broadfield (sp?) for example.

Or are you not sure if a sr will swap into a 240sx?

Side note. Did anyone else notice that in the item description that it says that its a S14 Sr?

But front the pics it's obviously not a s14 but a s13 sr.And it also says its a DE not DET.. Hmmm.

And give the guy a break. he's new, he will learn in due time about the search button. You don't have to be so harsh on him about it.

Good catch. The article also states that it is an SR20DE, when there is clearly a turbocharger on the engine.

I smell tomfoolery...as I aptly stated in my first reply.

EDIT: The ad states that the host vehicle was an S14 with an SR20DE. The wiring harness is chopped. No matter; it's still an eBay engine.

its from jhot imports. to say "its an ebay engine" is stupid. quality parts can be had on ebay. jhot sells quality products. ive been to their warehouse

I bought my Silvia front end from JHot in Augusta. There wasn't much communication on their part but the crate was freighted over pretty quick (albeit I live two states over). Still, I'm wary about buying engines on eBay in general.

the thing that confused me is that it said s13 sr20 with s14 wiring. and it has the fuse box and all. but i was wondering if i could use the wiring harness in my s13 without completely butchering the wiring? i guess i should have been more thorough

The chassis connectors that connect at the front of the engine bay will likely need modification, and I'm pretty certain that the interior wires you need to connect to, such as ignition, will be the same as the S14 the wiring came from. You will not be able to use the OBDII port that the harness is set up for. Schematics are your friend.

If in doubt, you can spend the $350 or whatever for Wiring Specialties to properly modify your harness (though it's a waste in my opinion).

Read the posts above and the ad more carefully. The donor car was an S14 that was originally equipped with an SR20DE, and had an S13 SR20DET swapped in.
