I know this is not what this is for but I just thought about it:exhaust valve

Would this limit exhaust flow enough to lower your emissions? I mean the less comming out of the exhaust the less harmful it can be right? I would think it if you had it almost closed for emissions then the car would run worse? What do you guys think

it looks restrictive, and i dont think it would work anyway, cause you still have o2, but i could be wrong.

Yes, let's restrict exhaust flow on your turbo motor! Phase only claims that thing as a noise limiter valve. I read nothing where it says "slapping this bad-boy valve thingy on will help you pass emissions!"

I never said they did, it is just a thought I was pondering

so spend the $120 and try it out for yourself. tell us what happens to your emissions after you test it. simple.

Simple logic needs to be used here:

If you have rusty/dirty water coming from your garden hose, would the water be any less dirty with the nozzle half-open? No. Poor example, but do you see my point?

Same holds true here. You cannot lessen the content of HC/CO/CO2 passing through a testing meter by restricting flow of your exhaust.

I'm not the one asking the question or wanting an answer. That valve looks like a $120 toilet flush so I can blow my turbo over and over from restricted flow and back pressure.

Try putting a cat on the car... one that has flanges so you can readily replace it with a test pipe.

smog doesn't measure the amount of crap coming out of your exhaust, a common misperception. It's the percentage and PPM.

That valve only limits the sound, and also, your turbo will not go into boost if you have that thing set at more than a certain angle.

Richard Tang, aka JDM RICE had it on his car. It did make a lot of difference, because his exhaust was loud as sin; straight pipes with a T3/T04E.
