would this be a problem?

OK, looking into buying a fresh 1990 S13 Silvia K's from JP. one problem, The engine head cover is missing. Now, I know it can drive without it, but there are some slight problems. on my friends 180 when his SR20's valve cover was of one (maybe more) of the plugs kept jumping around causing some problems.

I'm trying to figure out why it would be missing on this car, do you think it is running (properly) and where can I get another head cover?

damnit this car looks sooooooooo good

my other option is a SR20 Silvia K's, but its 200 bux more expensive an it just don't look as good

Are you talking about the coil cover/ornament cover that goes in the center, over the coils, between the valve covers?

If so, I kept mine off most of the time. The coils are bolted down; they aren't going anywhere. Those covers tend to trap heat and overheat coils anyways.

that piece that goes inbetween the valve covers is just a cosmetic piece that covers those coilpacks. I dont think that will cause any problems for you at all. Car looks great man! It would be very nice if you got that thing.

In the summer, I run without that anyway. As has been stated it has been known to lead to overheated coils.

PHEWWWWWW.....so, I guess if I get that car I'd need to work on beating the pants offa all the SR owners who say the ca's crap and problematic. My best friends older bro got him a CA powered 200SX hatch, so we'd be the force to reckon with

I'm gon go invade the sticky now...

if you remove the coilpack cover be sure not to spill oil in the sparkplug valley when doing an oil change, if it gets on the coilpacks they can fry from being unable to properly heatsink..

..not that I would know

The engine compartment could stand some TLC, a little simple green or just soap and water even...

The body looks sick though. In what neighborhood are you gonna purchase it for?!?

Buying it off of a japanese site, So it's probbably in tokyo or in that area. Wish I could go visit it first but I don't have that type of $$$. Still need to get all the money in order, I really don't want a car I buy sitting up in customs or some1 will steal the CD player...or drive it into the ground...or blow the engine...

heh, he asked how much you're paying for it, not what neighborhood in Japan it's coming from.

Very nice car. I hope you get it.

that's what happens when you talk on the phone and read a forum at the same time

It's for $1,523.81 F.O.B. then about 1200 for shipping and 45% of those costs for customs.

so now you know how broke I am LOL

Still, thats super cheap. Even with the shipping and everything. Most people here in the states ask more for a 240 with a stupid KA24DE in it...
