I use MSD injectors which is very similar to these Delphi units and I never machined my fuel rails nor my customers. Like Mikesim said, the trick is in the O-ring.burnout 180 wrote:Wiil these injectors work on a ca18det.http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...QrdZ1
Or would i need some other stuff for them too fit.
Exactly. Lucas, RC, Delphi and PTE all use the Delphi body. So any of those will require the rail to be machined.nismoplsr wrote:It must depend on the manufacturer. I bought the Lucas brand "DSM" injectors and i had to drill out the fuel rail slightly. It was not the difference in the O-ring the injector was physically to big to fit even with no O-ring.
Hint-Hint "MSD"= no headache/plug and play. Even my 95lb/hr injectors came ready to plug and play.c-rad wrote:

Just out of curiosity, why is not possible to have it machined? Take them the rail and the injector (with o-ring) and say, "Make it fit".
Because I'm lazy and just rather get something that can directly fit in instead of have to go through getting my rail machined.c-rad wrote:

Neither as both use Delphi bodies. MSD refers to the type of electrical connector, not the body itself. If you are looking for a direct fit, look for a Denso bodied injector.burnout 180 wrote:I searched MSD Injectors on ebay and got these as results

Which one is the right one to get?
Honestly, those look just like the Delphi body injectors. Unless they are specifically Denso, I wouldn't count on them fitting perfectly. Companies like HKS, Sard, etc all use the Denso bodies.burnout 180 wrote:None of the denso injectors are in good condition on ebay. So i decided to check out autozone and they have msd injectors.
Here is the one i was looking at will this work?
