hi, ive recently bought a '92 240sx LE non hicas, and the front struts are pretty worn out. im planning on replacing all four struts and springs with something stiffer that would give me better handling, but also not break my back since its my daily driver. im not looking to lower the car much more than in inch or so either. im pretty stumped on what setup i should go for, maybe some of you other s13 owners out there can give me suggestions or insight on your experiences with certain set ups? i have no price limit, but i would like the best bang for the buck, and i cant afford coilovers, nor do i have the skill to wield them to their full potential. anything you guys have to say would be greatly appreciated.

Friend of mine in the states has a set of KYB AGX's on his converted 240-Silvia with Eibach springs. Didn't lower a whole lot, and greatly improved ride. They can be picked up for a decent price and are a good entry level strutt.

I agree. Prokit + AGX seem to be the tried and true entry level suspension setup.

thanks guys, i appreciate the input. i was thinking of the exact same setup, but im also looking at the gr2's. theyre considerably cheaper but im not sure if they will begin to reach their limits in performance sooner than i want as i progress with driving.

the agx would be good for you,not sure about the prokit though...i have some eibach sportlines for sale if your interested, they're brand new

EDIT: the gr2's are just like stock replacements, not too good for lowering

Also the GR2's dont have the settings for stiffness as the AGX. If I remember right, the front AGX's have 4 settings, and the rears have...what is it...6 I think. So, if you use it on the 1/4 mile, you can stiffen up the rear for good power placement.

the agx's in the rear have settings to 8 not 6. there arent much in between the agxs and gr2's, maybe tokicos. The tein basic coilovers only have height adjustability, no dampning, thats why some dont like them.

so ive decided to get the gr2's after all my research. i need help with some recommended springs to go along with them. i want to lower the car an inch or so, but not blow out the struts with a spring rate that is excessive. maybe you guys can recommend some springs to go along with gr2's?
