im relatively new to cars and working on them, i would like to install some foglights into the little vents on my 92 s13. is there a trick to doing it, or is more so like buying them as a kit and a straightforward install?

yea, straight forward. Instructions come w/ fog lights for wiring. The only thing you need to find is where you want to mount the bad boys.

If I can get my friends camera or maybe I'll just go buy a scanner and develop my pics. I got fog lights in the vents. Looks pretty sweet to me and my friends agree.I got rectangle one from autzone cost 19.99+tax.Simple 2 screws in each vent.1.Remove screws2.Take out vent3. Pace bracket on vent and mark the spots of the holes where screws go.4.drill the marks5. put bracket on vent and screw in6.install fog light on bracket one goes on wiht just small angle of screwdriver the other on you got to bend the plastic a little to screw it in don't worry the plastic is strong 7.instll vent with fog light back on your car 8. run your wires according to diagram. My switch is in my glove box

so i jut put in the fog lights today, but i ran into a problem... the fogs work fine and the wiring wasnt too bad (despite the fact that it looks like crap in my engine bay), but i cant figure out a way to get the wiring through the firewall. can someone help with suggestions? please?

Easiest way (at least for me): look on the driver's side of the firewall near the fender. There should be a wire w/ a rubber boot connected to the firewall.

Pull the boot, slip the wire through, reinstall the boot.

If it's the same boot I'm thinking of, looking down, it's below and to the right of the brake cylinder. It's super easy to get through there, and the wire will pop out just above the fusebox in the driver's footwell. From there, it's an easy extention across the steering column and into the back of the center console. From there, you can route your switch to anyplace in the cabin. Good luck!
