Ok, I did a search couldn’t find, if there has already been a thread like this, please just post a link to it.

Ill try to be as specific as possible. Ok, what I want to know is, here is a list of parts; I want to know if this is everything I would need on a SR (assuming its in excellent condition, all fluids spark plugs, etc replaced) would be safe to run at 14 PSI on 91 octane pump gas, I want to check and make sure everything looks good and I’m not forgetting any parts, or adding anything I wouldn’t need.

The car will be used for auto-x road racing, and drag racing, all on a pretty regular basis.I added the prices because the parts aren’t yet decided, I just picked parts I’m thinking of right now, so just assume it’s any part in that price range.

APEX'i Power Intake kit $130

Apexi Dual N1 Cat-Back $499

Blitz 3" downpipe $180

Walbro 255 lt/hr Pump $120

HKS SSQV BOV Kit w/ hot pipe $350 (200 for just the BOV)

HKS Type-S FMIC $865

Greedy IC hot pipe $99

Nismo engine/transmission mounts 270

ACT street/strip clutch kit with TODA flywheel $700ish

HKS rocker arm stoppers $90

Apexi S-AFC $345

Greddy Profec B $300ish

Greddy turbo timer $90

The car will be for the most part a daily driver, I know I could get away with not upgrading some of these parts, but I want it to be reliable. What about an aftermarket Koyo radiator or a Dual 12" Electric Fan, would that be needed at this point? Or at least beneficial? I don’t want to waste money on something I don’t need, but I don’t want overheating issues either. and then same question, just replace that other stuff with aftermarket oil pan :P

What about head gaskets? I know some people have gone to like 20 PSI without blowing them, but clearly that’s not common, at what point do they start becoming an issue? Should I start to worry about then at 14 PSI, or wait until after a T28 upgrade

Oh, last questionMy “goal” would be eventually to get to around 400RWHP, other then the clutch, would the parts mentioned above withstand that kind of power, assuming the rest of my engine could was upgraded to support it?

sorry about the long post, but i figure, might aswell get all the questions out in one thread.

We have a special on the Apexi SAFC for $265

(not to mention a lot of those other prices seem high, so if you want to contact us we can try to help)

I would say the coolant system definitly should be upgraded...beyond that, the setup looks good to run 14psi.

The injectors would not reach 400whp..you'd also be wise to do headwork before trying to reach that level

ya, I didn't try and find the best prices, just a general estimate, like I said, haven’t decided on the parts exactly, so I just gave a close estimate.

also, i know the stock injectors would be no good, among other things, that’s why I said assuming the engine could take it, i wouldn't want to be on at T28 or just an SAFC either.

But another quick questions, what kind of of power/boost are the stock injectors good to? I know the T25 isn't do much after 14 PSI so after a turbo upgrade i would upgrade the injectors. but if i did a small upgrade to a t28 would injectors be needed?

And would the radiator/ fan(s) be sufficient, or is there anything else that should be looked at?

The stock injectors are good to 270ish whp, I think you could get away with not upgrading them on a T28 if you only ran like 12 or 13 psi of boost...but you might just want to go ahead and do it. Also, look into other BOV's, thats really expensive for one! Also, you might could get away without the TODA flywheel...personally I see no point in lightened flywheels but that's just me...no matter what it sounds like a pretty good setup! What are you shooting for, 250-260whp with that?
