I was thinking to clearup the turbo problem would it be easier to install the Supra motor in a 240. The Trans on the RB25 and the 2JZ are from the same company I was wondering would this make a better swap?

well the sumps are different so that will cause some concern. and wiring in a toyota motor into a nissan is not fun. unless you go stand alone. i'm sure there is more factors just 2 main ones i always thought of. i actually looked in the other direction. a rb26 into a supra.

Would it make a better swap? Not really.. Would it be unique, yea.. Stock 2JZ can handle quite a bit of horsepower with minor bolt ons. You can put it in if you really wanted to, I would use the 6-speed from the supra anyway. If you have money, then it's anyones game.

a little bit of power? hehe

local guy here in tucson, 900whp on a STOCK BLOCK.

highest output out of the stock motor on record. 600whp is easily atainable with basic upgrades.

i dont think it would be EASIER than a RB swap but it sure as hell would be diffrent and cool.

I love Nissan but I think i may go with the 2JZ becuz if you think about it you can find way more parts for it and quicker service toI think it will be worth it.

That record has been broken like 2-3 times since then. I think it's around 968 now.

It's doesn't even have the unique factor, cuz there are three 2jz powered 240s in the Tri-State area.

I am not doing it to be unique I really would like to be able to get the car to 1000hp with the least amount of money possibly spent.Being that the 2JZ is a common moter in the US I fell I would be able to get Aftermarket parts way easier then an RB26DETT

that would be unique but why not keep with nissan unless you are very versed in toyota/nissan wiring and chassis. to add the added benefit of a spare 2jz just lying around your garage? only if I had something to do with all these small-block ford cranks that are snapped from boost testing. lol.

I've done the search on parts for the RB and the prices are crazy compared to the 2JZ and the fact that I could get standard parts for it right here in the us with no problem.

like I said, if you are good with wiring, go for it! my old buick grand national would make 650hp on gas and all parts were availible here. but thats nothing but a SLP car and a cruiser. cant drift a grand national, heh.
