Hey guys, I have a Blacktop SR running 14-15 lbs and a factory suel system. My buddy just got some 650cc's for his MKIII supra and he says he will give me his factory injectors which are 440cc's. As far as I know you need some sort of fuel controller to run bigger injectors, my question is - Can i put these 440's into my SR and still use the factory computer. Im thinking maybe these would be a lil better than the factory injectors and they wouldnt have to work as hard as the factory ones. My mods are

14lbs. boost, Stock T25, Greddy FMIC, 3" dump pipe and down pipe, Tanabe 3" exhaust

Thanks

-Drew

i'm pretty sure u need some kind of tuning if you are changing injectors. Using the stock computer it will keep the 440's open as long as the 370cc injectors and since they are bigger will be dumping more fuel with the incorrect air/fuel ratio/mixture probably causing your car to run like crap. It wouldnt be a bad idea to use them as long as they come with the plugs(unless the injector clips are the same which i doubt). Running at 14-15psi on stock injector is almost at max duty cycle. Better not to stress them. good luck.

Yeah installing 440cc injectors would help, more fuel = more HP. Gotta get a atleast SAFC to control them... Don't know what those injectors look like be but more than likely you will be needing a top feed fuel rail, injector plug ends, and maybe even a few resistors wired in depending on whether they are high or low impedence injectors. If they are low you will need the resistors or an injector resistor pack. Then comes the fun of tuning it out on the road. But all in all you will notice a gain, and with a stock turbo on high boost they should be sufficient. Oh yeah you will be able to use the stock ECU which was you main question, but will need a piggy back SAFC. Good luck to you.
