I recently converted my auto rb20det to a 5-speed. I was running the auto ecu and had the timing set to 15 degrees and the car ran fine. I just bought an actuall 5 speed ecu and the car drives better and smoother at under 4k rpm, but the car is a dog above 5k rpm. do i need to have my timing reset? or is the auto swap thing probably causing an error with the 5 speed ecu? would i be better off just sticking with the auto ecu?

No you do not need to reset timing, check for codes in the ecu.

does the mt ecu need to run more advanced..say around 20 degrees? how much would i turn the CAS to advance 5 degrees?
