Good luck legalizing it on North american shores, you'd have to pay motorex. I'm sure it'd just be cheaper to rip the engine out and import it.

Id be willing to sell the entire car for 3500-shipped to anyone that is interested. You get either a CA18DET or a SR20DET depending on which model you want. And you get the JDM front end. Cars are in 100% running order and are in roadworthy condition, meaning they arent wrecked to hell. This allows you to get anything you want out of a JDM S13 including engine, intercooler, gauges, ecu, un-touched wiring harness, front-end, miscellaneous wiring, LSD, and anything else you could think of. Take what you want then you can sell the remaining parts off of it. OR if you want to have just a RHD JDM car lying around or want to use it as an "illegal" weekend driver then go for it. This way you get everything... since its a full car.

** Also can get 180SXs and other JDM vehicles. **

Car could be imported for racing purposes and is prolly the method I will use to get them over here. There is also a salvage title that I can have slapped on them that will make them parts cars which also will allow me to get them over here. I might import one and part it out meaning the following parts would be up for grabs:

Motor (CA18DET / SR20DET w/ transmission and ECU)LSD Gauges Front End Conversion PeicesMisc. Silvia marked items and Mods found on the car.

You'd be getting an SR transmission....you might as well ask for the whole setup.

i don't understand $3500-shipped regardless of what model is bought? i am really skeptical at this point; however, i wish it was that easy....cuz i'd take two of 'em.

Talked to my supplier and he has done this thing before... said it hasnt been a problem before. Prices on the S13s should remain around the 3500 mark but depends on the car's selling price. Again email me if you are interested... [email protected]

Err...:thinker I just remembered something. I read somewhere a while back *super street or sport compact* bout a real JDM S13 brought back by a military personnel *marine i believe*. In the article he was talking bout all the loop-holes and stuff. Basically he said that the only downside was that it took him 8 months to get his car cuz customs held on to it for almost 6 months. But other than that he got it in and has it insured as a 240sx. Hmm...maybe imma go tru all my old mags and try to find that article :ylsuper

Silvias do conform the US standards. There is nothing different about them really, safety-wise anyway. It was a Super Street article, S13 with a CA....sooooo nice. Isn't the shipping free too? I thought I read that somewhere.

Flip you're in the AirForce, why don't you head over there? Sell your S14, go there and with the money, pick up a R32, or 33. Motowrecks will be pissed, and you'll screw them over....fun for everyone.

Just so you know, SRs with simple filter and exhaust can pass emmissions, at least in my state (not sure about Cali though).

I'm not gonna bother reading all the stuff you put up K, cause I don't care really, I'm never gonna import a car.

Motorex sucks, I hate them, they are ***holes (but that is just my humble opinion).

lol your humble opinion. . .

I still highly doubt that for every model/year car they legalize they crash two others. . .

Hrm. . .

i know a guy in florida that has a s13 silvia he brought back with him after ending a stint with the marines. he may be the very one that one of the ricer mags referred to, i do not know. but he is a marine and did bring a silvia back. i know this b/c i have seen the car in person, however he was COMPLETELY reworking it when i saw it. the car was being stripped when i saw it last. i can call down there and ask him what the protocol was for such things. he would know how it all works, b/c i think he did have to wait for his car for quite a while.

Ok, say you got one of these JDM S13s, how fuc!<ed would you be if you were pulled over for some odd reason? "Son, is this car legal, absolutly officer, I had it converted to RHD cause im a mail man" Hmmm......not sure how well that ones gonna work. But hell Id take the risk of driving it. Youd stand out just a little bit if your cars RHD.

no doubt; however, i'd prolly be missing gears like a rice-boy.

and good point not as if i don't already attract enough attention from the boys in blue, just one more reason for them to bother me.

driving a real 180....i'd have to really think about it.if it were a "real" sil-eighty.....oh hell yeah.....well actually i'd prolly just garage it and sell in one day.

so what would happen if you simply swapped VINs and all the things you need to from a US car to the Japanese car? I know its very illegal, but do you think it would work? (again I'm never gonna even be able to do this, I was just wondering).

I read on another board that someone had an EVOIII shipped to Mexico, and he then proceed to drive down in a Mirage, swapped the VINs and drove ba

I said it would pass emissions, I didn't say it would legalize it to do so.

The paragraph I quoted above regarding military employees actually relates to the duty on the import, rather than the legality of the import. It's the only part of the regulation that mentions military personnel; They're subject to the same import regulations as the rest of us when it comes to getting the car into the country.

In order for Flip to be eligible for duty-free entry on the car, he'd need to be on extended duty, which means more than 140 days. He can't just scoot over and get one, and even if he could they wouldn't let it into the country anyway.

Man do you have any idea how long ive been trying to get stationed to JaPlanD?!?! Shoot i prolly wont sell my S14 but id prolly buy another over there and rite b4 i leave...strip the f*ck out of it and bring it back as my personal baggage. :boink Hmm...pas faux JDM clip wit body panels...hell i mite as well convert the thing to right hand drive :icon18 Hmm...maybe i should go to Korea for a year so i can put in for any base that i wanna go to. Id kill to go to YOKOTA...20 mins from ToKyo BaYbee!!! :ylsuper

It Jersey I'm pretty sure it would, they don't even pop your hood. Visible inspection of emmisions might be a problem though.

they check all lighting, emmissions, brakes, shocks, no cracks in windows, wipers...i think thats about it....
