i have an oprotunity to get a t3/t4 from a friend the turbine side is wither a .86 or .84 i cant remember but was wondering if a 20 would spool it, this would be more along the lines of a drag turbo(slow spoolup on street). but i am just wondering if it is feasable, i think it will because my brothers civic it spooling a .63 with a 1.6., just want some other opinions, thanks

your motor will spool anything... justs takes a certain amount of RPM depending on the size, trim, a/r of the turbo... theres more than 1 variable.

well ive done alot of work and fabrication over the last few days and am about ready to find out, hopefully tonight i will have an answer. i guess i should have clarified my concern for the turbo to not spool. the car weighs less than 1800lbs and has 3.90 gears and 22in tires, talk about no load being put on the engine!! oh well if it doesnt work ill go with a 57 trim. looks cool though!

I'm curious to hear how it turns out. I gotta tell ya though... i think when it hits... it's going to be worthless... all you will do is spin your wheels.

that should be a tire spinning monster. curious though...were you gonna intercool it? i think that a setup like this would be a good candidate for a air to water cooler, due to lack of space. and i would bet an aftermarket intake might make the plumbing easier, and free up some space.

also...i emailed you about your injectors, if you still have them.

oh, forget the dp, id run the exhaust right out the side of the engine bay. turbos are really effective mufflers. and youll shoot fireballs at pedestirans. thats always a plus.

i would love to have an aftermarket intake but theyre sooo expensive, im spraying meth/alky right now so its "chemically" intercooled, plus its a fuel supplement so i can go a little further with stock injectors.

awsome thanks bro. did you get a tracking number? i live in an apartment and coordinating deliveries are sometimes a pain so most of the time i just go pick up my package at the shipping area.

well i finally got my car running again after the bad ecu problem, and to my absolute surprise, a huge my rb20 spooled it up fine, its a 61mm(thats right i said 61mm) huge 84 t3 turbine and when its warmed up i can get full boost in second gear. you have to understand that my second gear is like youre 1st gear, 3.90 rear gears and 22inch tires equals first gear useless) the spoolup is pretty inpressive since the facts are: 2.0 liter engine, huge turbine, very low gearing, and very lightweight car ,1750lbs...i knew it was gling to be dificult so i wrapped the cast manifold to help spoolup.
