R stands for hatchback, the P stands for a Silvia that has an SR20DET, so technically it is neither. Instead an S13 hatchback with a KA24DE is called a RMS13

It would be a 240sx hb with an sr20det. Nothing will ever make your car a silvia or 180sx. Even a RHD conversion. Its still a USDM 240sx.

Actually the P stands for sr20det, not just in a silvia but a 180sx also.
