Would 225/50/17 be ok on the stock 17''?

The wheels are a bit wider and a tiny bit thinner, would these look wierd since the wheel well gap is already big, if i thin out the tire by that "5" would it be noticable?

Also 225 on the 7inch wide rims is ok right? i think 7 inche limits max is 225

What car are you talking about? The 3.5 coupe?

If you are talking about the 3.5 coupe standard wheel, it is a 17" x 7.5" wheel. You can put up to a 235/50/17 on that and actually see no difference in your speedometer reading, nor will it look bad - it will look exactly the same way your OEM tire does. The sidewall is still going to be the same width - instead of taking 55% of your 215 width, you are taking 50% of your 235 width - it all works out in the end to the same measuring height. And 235 is fine to put on as the measuring wheel width for a 235/50/17 tire is a 7.5" wheel.

So yes, your 225 will work too...but it will be slightly smaller than stock.

thanks! im planning on getting winter tires with those numbers, so it doesnt matter to me too much

the 3.5 stockers are 17x7.5? i thought it was by 7

Nope, the stock 3.5 coupe is 7.5"
