Seems pretty good. Go for it!!! I have the Brembo's they are way overpriced but came with GT. I would prob go with Stoptech if I had to switch.

Why do they state that drilled is only for aesthetic purposes. I was under the impression that drilled rotors had evolved enough in the design department that cracking was no longer a major issue.

If your Z is non Brembo, like mine, I'd suggest the Stoptech BBK kit , which comes with everything. Stainless lines, their slotted rotors, fluid, pads. Stoptech included Axxess pads which didn't thrill me, so I went with Ferodo's. You won't seeimprovement in cold brake performance on the street, but they are downright awesome on the track when they get hot. Stoptechs are a bit pricey but for what I do with them, they were well worth it to me. Oh, the BBK's require 18" wheels minimum.

I've heard plenty of good things about Racing Brake and they have a fairly extensive lineup.

You will have to look elsewhere for some 12 piston calipers though.

yeah if they don't have the 12 pistons, i don't know if i can deal with out those extra 6 pistons....

Looks good though. May buy them, dunno yet.

Bubba - i have 18" wheels so i'm good there, i also don't know if i will have the money for stoptech big brake kits. Well i will have the money, just don't know if i want to spend that much on brakes just yet. I am what you would call a beginner, but i assure you i would drive circles around our Board Professional Street Racer ..... That being said, i am looking to spend more of my return on paying off my other car and credit cards, but probably will at least buy those brakes for the Z...

If you guy's need brakes hit me up. I can offer better pricing compared to the website price.

For someone that wants a BBK. We have a stoptech 6pot front/2 pot rear in stock. Priced to move at 3500 shipped.

Drilling also reduces surface area of pad contact. Thus increasing the heat in the rotor. The increased heat and less surface, even though material strength has gotten better over the years, still increases the chances of cracking.

Slotted are nice because the scrap the pad a bit almost ensuring you don't glaze the pad and are always on an optimal surface for best braking.

Ryan if you plan on tracking the car, I'd spend the few extra bones and get a track pad too. Aggresive track use will tear up street pads.

And if you REALLY have a good tax return, 2 piece rotors buddy

I'm in the process of researching for a BBK.I like the Wilwood 13", slotted & drilled rotors, 6 pot frt & 4 pot rear.stainless steel lines, BP 10 pads, fluid is not included for under $2900 shipped. This kit does not effect the parking brake and is ok with the OEM master cylinderI'm also thinking about going with the zinc wash on the rotors, front & rear.

This is where quality buying comes into play.High quality drilled rotors for street driving helps give your pads more leading edges to bite on for better braking...also during rainy times, water evacuation is one of their key benefits of drilled rotors.

hey wassup

i would purchase my rotors from here.http://store.r1concepts.com/

i heard its the same place where stoptech makes their rotors.

also get some project mu brake pads.http://www.mynismo.com has the best prices on these

and if you dont track, just get new OE brake fluid, cause racing brake fluid you have to change out more often. gets more moisture. and steel brake lines.. you dont see no difference if you dont track.

just my 2 cents

Richie one more comment (i will let you have the last word) then i'm probably going to close it because it is off topic now.

Tobay beach parking lot. I'll drive a base model 03 z and still beat you.

Ryan, if you are looking to track or auto-x your car, go with tires, they'll improve braking and cornering. Just my .02
