worth it to buy a built sr20?

hey all,

well recently i meet some dude from a shop around town and he has an engine and silvia oarts he was telling me about. wasnt planing on doing anything to my 240 soon but idk if i can pass up this deal.

ok so the engine is a built sr20det redtop pushing out 420hp.it has an upgraded turbo, clutch and flywheel and a bunch of other stuff. he has basically the whole engine swap but no transmission. he wants 2200$ for the engine stuff. now is that a good price for 420hp?

i can pick up a trans for around 300-400.

Also i can buy the s13 front end conversion from him for another 1000...has CF hood .

what do yous think?

hes going to be calling me so i can go check it out in person and hear it run...ill also get all the specs writtin down.

could you maybe organize your post a little better? its incrediably to tell what the car comes with and the engine comes with.

if it has an upgraded turbo and its not a cheap ebay one and he is including everthing like rom tune, injectors, mafs, and the engine set its self i would say thats a pretty damn good deal.

and thats with or without the carbon fiber hood?

Thats with out the hood. he would sell the body panels for the conversion to me for 1000 with the cf stuff.

I dont think its and ebay turbo he told me what kind it was but i didnt have anything to write down the specs of the engine with at the time.

i know right now until i talk to him later this week is its an s13 redtop,upgraded turbo,head work, upgraded clutch, light weight flywheel, and parts to swap it like harnesses etc when i talk to him ill write down it all n post back up.
