I currently have an Alpine H/U in my car with Alpine Amp/Sub. I love the sound but I miss the factory look and use of my steering wheel controls. I bought the PAC harness but was not able to program them. Wanting to know if the power and clarity of the BOSE OEM unit is that much better then the OEM Non-Bose unit and if this swap is do-able? I have a portable Garmin so don't need or want a expensive Nav unit.

It is definitely possible, but anything is possible with enough time and money. It would require running all new wiring to the trunk. And then new wiring from the trunk to the speakers. And then buying the Bose amp and speakers. You're looking at what might end up being a 5-15 hour job (depending on all the wiring and how well you want it done) and the speakers/amp/headunit cost of I would guess roughly $2k (if you buy new from the dealer or some nissan parts website).

The PAC harness shouldn't be that difficult to program. Next time I have my car gutted I'll try to reprogram it and take a video. IMO, wasting time and money on anything Bose is just that: a waste.
