Ok id like to say thx and srry for all who helped with my car probs.ill start from the begining to help u get a better piont.

Car is 1995 240 sx se.Bought it from lil bro who blew the head gasket and then had it replaced.Well the guys doing it never checked the head and reinstalled it all.Well the car started and ran but seemed like timing was off and lil bro was out of moneyso the car sat up. Well before i bought it i knew what was wronge and jus wanted to make sure the car would start so i started it,Yep started and was acting the same as before really running bad when u tried to give it gas.So i got it with plans on redoing head and all.Pulled the old head off and say it was cracked and noticed the cam gears were off a tooth or so so we knew that was making it run so bad. Well after i purchased new Rad and new head(brand new well rebuilt from a head shop )we procceded tto install it all.Did all that fine checked the timming twice before putting it all back together.Got it all back together and bam wouldnt start.Well we checked fuel and fire and got no fuel after a new fuel pump we had every thing in order.Well will trying to crank starter went so i replaced that. Well we've been playing for about 3 days with geting it to run and nothing yall said helped but could have. We checked the compression today and was not a good start.Cylinder #1 had like 40 cyl #2 had less cyl#3 had 80 and 4 had none.Well we first checked to see if it was pistion rings and nope not rings.(my mechanic did all that). So we jump to the part when i called the head placed and asked if they seated the valves. We had oild leaking through well running. The guy who rebilt it said u dont seat them that they seat them selves anfter 10 mins of running. So we trusted that since we never played with a nissan before and he should know what hes saying. Seems as if hes wrong and the head is leaking really bad.Enough to loose compression.

Well the question is what are the steps to rebuilding a head and do the valves have to be seated some kinda way while rebuilding? I know on V8 and stuff u have to seat them but this car who knows!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

P:S: srry for the long book but thought all info would be needed!!!!!!!!

Please help if u can?

yeah, they have to be seated. we call it lapping the valves. you use some valve grinding compound and just grind them on in. it actually sounds more like bent valves or something to me. you would have to pull head for all that.
