Yeah, awesome is definitely the appropriate adjective! It was lots of fun. As far as sound, I'll have my video available soon where you can hear for yourself. However, my impression was one of aggressive, torquey power, with a kinda persistent vroom. Not a little vroom like Mazda, not blob blob blob like a Mustang V8 and not a strung out wheeeeee like a Ferrari's 10 cylinder, but a nice vroom that lets you know there's power to be contended with here. It's definitely a six and I could see turbo piping when the hood was up. I could not see if it was twin turbo (I wasn’t too close to pit lane) and there is certainly no swoosh or pssst turbo sounds. After watching the car a while, I wasn’t even sure there was a turbo, then when I was peaking at pit lane and they had the hood up I could see the pipes. The turbo(s) are just there, doing their job, like professionals. Oh, and as for further in person impressions, the car is fricken’ sweet! The way the C pillar ties into the rear end and the sculpted lines are gorgeous. The front end with twin hood cuts and wide fenders look luxurious and at the same time tells people to move over and let me pass! The side view is one of my favorites, the car is long, it has neat cuts behind the front fenders, sleek, low, the cockpit is kinda set back, the C pillars tie the roof to the rear end and the sculpted lines flow from front to rear in a very sporty way. The rear seems a little plumper than previous skylines as I suppose is the trend with newer cars and better wind tunnel aerodynamics, but with the Skyline tail lights, twin exhaust and spoiler, it all ties together real nice. Some might say it looks a little plain, and I wouldn’t argue much, but I appreciate the clean look myself and actually prefer it. Kinda like how a woman can look fricken hot in a simple red dress and heels.
