Worst Service Experience Ever - Willowdale Infiniti, Toronto, Ontario

Discussion of Infiniti's amazing (and underrated) sport-luxury crossovers, the EX35 and EX37. For 2014, the EX series will be renamed QX50, in line with Ininfiit's new naming conventions.

So I made an appoint to bring my new EX (<2500km) into Willowdale Infiniti for a few of the usual warranty repairs mentioned on this forum:

- steering pulls to the right- radio doesn't not cycle through all presets- low rumbling noice when turning right at low speeds (<20km)- grinding noise when adjusting steering column- rear struts do not extent- leaky sunroof- streaky wipers

Anyways, they gave me a loaner for the day and I drove to work.

I got a call after lunch and the service consultant there told me that they found nothing wrong with my car. I was a bit thrown off that they couldn't find any of the problems, so I offered to come in after work to show the technician.

I get to the dealership at 5:30 (they close at 6), but was told that the technican left already because they are done at 5 (but teh service dept is open until 6, go figure...and I was not told of this prior to going in). He also said they fixed the steering pull to the right and found another problem about my alarm going off every 30 mins (I've never experienced this ever). I found it odd that they would touch my car and fix something without my consent.

Anyhow, I'm a bit peeved but persuaded the consultant to see the car so I can show him the problems. Sure enough, I was able to re-produce every single problem on the list and he acted perplexed as to why the technician didn't noticee the problems. At this point he told me I would have to driev my car home and come back another time. At this point I'm pretty annoyed because I couldn't understand why I can't take the loaner and just wait until they fix all the problems.

So I took my keys and started to head home, but at this point they told me they have to charge me a $10 admin fee for the loaner. I was like WTF, how is it complimentary (as stated on the wedsite) when you charge a fee. We had a long arguement but I just wanted to get out of there so I paid the fee.

I started to pull out of the dealership and guess what, my friggin steering wheel still pulls to the RIGHT!

So in summary, I'm down $10, wasted my time, and nothing on my car was fixed.

They called me the following day and told me that the problems they identified last night were not on the tech line, so they cannot do anything.

I called Infiniti Canada to complain and they gave me the run around and pretty much washed their hands clean of the situation.

So my advice to all GTA'ers, avoid Willowdale Infiniti like the plague!

I've since gone to Markham Infiniti and the service is head and shoulders able Willowdale.

First, sorry for your experience. I also only go to Markham Infiniti, only because I find it to be more private and attentative than Willowdale.

I had my worst service experience ever at Austin Infiniti, Austin, TX. My advice, go to Gunn Infiniti in San Antonio instead of Austin Infiniti
