I'd say mine was the collar bone through the skin. plus 7 other broken bones and a concussion plus a sharpened pencil shoved deep in the arm, still got the graphite in there. Anyone beat that? ps got the idea from trpower shoving a pair of scissors through his wrist.

Well...so far I had a metal backstop collapse on my head: 14 stitches and a blood trail lasting for 3 years :D. Then the most painful was last winter snowboarding...I went off a jump, got about 12 ft. of air, totally flew the landing zone and landed on the hard flat area past it...the catch: I also flipped upside down and landed on my face and shoulder. I thought I was going to die, I kept falling over when I'd try to stand up. I have a huge 8inch around area of skin on my hip that I cant feel at all because it's STILL swollen after 7 months.

Never.

(knocks on wood)

I guess I've been lucky. I fell a few times when I was riding my board, but the worst was just a 3x3" square on my leg that got ripped off. But it didn't immobilize me.

I guess this happens to me, but it must be from getting older.

I had a motorcycle accident 6 years ago. Femur broken into many, many pieces. 17 screws (1 broken) and a steel plate later, I have no ACL, my knee sounds like popcorn on every stair, I have a scar about 18" long, and swelling and pain in my leg that hasn't decreased since.

Man, you guys are making feel good.

I had that motorcycle wreck a month ago. Dislocated and fractured my left shoulder. Fluid on my left knee. A really alfull black eye, went from my eye down past my mouth. didn't hurt. Bruised, pretty much every part of my body, including a private area (that hurt for about a week.)

Still doing physical therapy on my shoulder. In another two weeks, we get to start the active therapy or as my therapist says, "the fun stuff." I think the guy is having fun torturing me.

But hey, hit a Cadilac broad side at 50 and I walked away, and no surgerys. So I feel pretty good about it.

Damn man. What car was that? What happened to your passenger?

I've had staples in my head a few times and plenty of road rash, but that's about it. Most of my damage is mental...:freak

All these motorcycle accidents... question whose fault was it. I guarantee it wasn't the bikers...

I read a statistic that said 70% of motorcycle accidents are due to the drivers screwing around, i.e. weaving between traffic, wheelies, excessive speed, etc.

Dunno how true that is though

might be state statistics, here 85% of the time it is not the bikers fault. Most of the accidents are being cut off, rear ended, just plain dumbass drivers and weather as well, which I do consider bikers are at fault there.

My car was a '65 Corvair. The 17yr old street racer was in a Cordoba, (big heavy car). Nailed me between the passenger door and front fender. Cops figured the kid got it SLOWED to 50 when he blew thru the red light. Speed limit was 25mph. We were airborne about 50' judging by the skid marks, then spun, skidded and recoiled off a high curb down the road. The bodywork wrapped around my date and pinned her. it took rescue workers awhile to get her out. Fortunately she was knocked out cold. Let's see, she broke her right collarbone, a few ribs, broken right arm, broken elbow, broken wrist, shattered her pelvis, broke her right leg, kneecap, ankle, concussion, and some internal bleeding. She was in Intensive care for about a week and traction for several more weeks. Followed by physical therapy for a year or two. She did recover and ended up marrying a doctor. Speed Racer walked away without a scratch, and never showed any remorse. In fact his father hired a fancy lawyer to try to get the charges dropped. Both the kid and his father sneered at me in court as if I did something wrong. His lawyer failed. Needless to say I have no respect for street racers.

in reference to motorcycles: bikers that cut through lanes in heavy traffic, get the open door treatment from me or my family. sorry, but dont be a **** just cuz youre about 24" wide, compared to a 7' (?) wide car.

In my case, the motorcycle accident wasn't my fault. I was on a 2-lane residential straight road, middle of the day, 100% visibility. This kid in an oncoming car decides that I'm *not* 30 feet in front of him and decides to make a left turn as I was entering the intersection. We were both going less than 25mph. I believe it is the #1 cause of accidents that involve a motorcycle and at least one other vehicle--cars pulling out in front of the bikes--the drivers just do not see the rider at all.

car accident while asleep at the wheel.hmm me vs. parked big rig truck on the street. guess who won?lets see...i do not remember anything from that day. i don't remember driving at all. my bottom teeth went through my lower lip area so there was like a hole there that had to be stitched up. my front tooth was bent back all nasty. a few cuts on the face. cut open knee in 2 places. very bad sprained ankle. (could not move it for a while) spent 2 day in hospital. lots of morphine. i am pretty much healed today(this was one year ago) but i can't run for a long distance anymore or else my ankle really starts to hurt. i can run approximatly a half of a block.

wow! I must be REALLY lucky. I have had many accidents which gave me a lot of pain for a few days but nothing as bad as you guys. I have never even been to the hospital for any injuries. I even remember one time when I was in Japan and I was like 5 and there was a place where you could rent bikes and go down a trail. Well the first part you go to was a steep downhill. I hardly knew how to ride a bike and for some reason I persuaded my mom to let me ride a bike without training wheels. I go down the hill and actually roll down just fine until the very end when I must have been going at least 25 mph (felt like that to me at least for a 5 year old) and the bike starts wobbling and I flip over like three times. Somehow I manage to just get up and start riding again without a single scratch. I thought for sure I should have died. I had a little bit of pain on my hand and wrist but that was it. I still remember some guy yelling at me in japanese and I had no idea what he was saying. I was scared and started pedaling away. Just felt like sharing that for some reason.

But now for my worst/dumbest injury. I was really stupid for doing this. My friends and I were in my back yard when we saw some tress that had been cut down. they still had like 2 feet of the tree left on each one and there were like 5 all lined up next to each other about 2 feet away from each. we decided to be all cool and practice karate moves on these 4 inch thick trees. we were actually doing really good for a while until l fell on one of them... right on my arse then my privates. I had the biggest bruise EVER. Left a scar on my arse and leg about almost 2.5 feet long. started bleeding on one of the balls for a few mins (not that bad actually. just doubt i will be able to have children :/) I literally could not sit down for a whole week becasue the pain was so bad. not even with pillows and other stuff. I still remember yelling so loud that almost all my neighbors came over to see what had happened. It was so embarrasing.

First thing I did after getting out of the ER was to take a leak and make sure there wasn't any blood.

Tino, This one was definetly not my fault. Old lady turned left in front of me. Of course the insurance company is screwing me. But that is another story. Now the other three motorcycle wrecks I were in (all single vehicle) were my fault. Three totaled motorcycles. First one looped on a wheelie. 2nd high sided, 3rd low sided same bike. 4th was this Cadi.

The first and third was me being stupid. 2nd was gravel in the road, i was still stupid, got on the back break to much.

I am getting out of riding motorcycles while I am ahead. It is appearant, that I wasn't that good at it anyways. It was fun while it lasted. 98 to 03 was a good run.
