Anyways ok this is not really the worst day of my life i just put taht there so I could ensnare you guys to come watch me vent about one of the gayest days ive ever had so far.
The day started out ok its cold as hell in IA so that was a big negative it was like 50 two days ago and now its cold wtf? So anyways me and my mom are working on cleaning out an old business that her and my dad owned that they recently upgraded to a different location. So we are cleaning no problems there we get tired so we go to the new business and start working there. Well my dad bought this printer that prints large as prints for banners and heavy gammut original art replocation. We have had problems matching color from the monitor to the printer for quite some time. But we always seem to over come it in the long run (3 months so far) anyways I spent 8 hours working on a picture for a man called Keith a naked marylin monroe pic he did with airbrush.
Well i finally got it right on the Satin canvas and it prints out and I basically crap my pants because I did it so nicely to match the original. Well ok he comes over to approve it and then decides the girl is to washed out which is ok I go back in and make changes to her and everything is fine.
SO then I have to go to the dentist and by this time im so tired I go there and just so you guys know I barely go to the dentist even though im going through some hardcore dentistry I always miss my appointments well I had a big talk with my dentist about me missing my appointments and **** and im set cool. Well the fukin RN damn piece of **** burnt fake *** tan ***** whos working on my teeth decides to infer the fact that I miss my appointments several times even after she knows that I had the talk with my dentist. OK whatever hooker STFU...jesus so then when she gets done she takes it upon herself to state that I should come in in 3 weeks not in 3 months or "ELSE" WTF she threatening me? Ill fukin kill the btich and everyone in the office. Hell ill do it for free. SO I laugh in her face and smile then I end up making another appointment and leave. Myy tooth hurts liek a ***** because I had surgery on it and they hooked up a brace thingy to ehlp manuvure it down in the correct location.
Now im pissed off everything makes no sense whatsoever I yelled at my mom for being incompetent and going to the grocery a 2nd time in 2 days when she wnet last night and had all the time n the world to get stuff. She gets all huffy and I ignore her because it pisses me off she is going and leaving me without transportation.
So basically I try and print this picture out for Keith on a differnt kind of canvas paper this time is matte not satin. Well I print it and the ***** is 3 times different than I even started out with. WTF so I assume it has to do with the fact that the color profiles and everything dont match up. Well then it hits me hmm if the monitor ICC worked with the printer CX color profile for the satin then obviously its not the ICC for the monitor rather the CX for the different orientations of paper. Just to let everyone know here the CX files are color profiles for each different type of paper. SO im like ddamnit son of a *****, then I go looking online for something that will convert CX files to ICC or ICM files for my monitor that way I can take the profile and work on it if it changes per paper so I can change my monitor per paper change to match exactly. Well I call the company to see if they have software that will do that because I searched online and yeah nobody sells or has a freeware program that will mess with CX files because it is so damn proprietary to the colorspan software from the colorspan company. Well she tells me that the program is 3000 dollars WTF GOD SON ***** *** HOLE!? First off ICC and ICM profiles can be edited in notepad edited in notepad! So obviously a similar method is instructed for the CX files but the difference here is that the CX files must have been encoded so that you cant use them in notepad or they jsut dont support standard ASCII codeing. So im like what the hell you guys sell a 3000 dollar program that converts standard data strings and text to a easy editable notepad version ICM and ICC?
Right about there i flipped out and started cursing hardcore in the office to myself of course. No program that does such simple conversions will ever cost 3000 dollars unles sof course it is so proprietary as this software is. But jesus H christ 3000 dollars I could hire someone to hack the code and program a program to do that for me and turn around and sell it on the colorspan company and turn a profit. For 3000 dollars. Im sure there are alot of programers out there who wouldnt mind screwing a company over for 3g's and then be able to turn a profit on that software itself. So basiclaly we bought a 15,000 dollar printer that cant do anything but print banners in solid colors. We have to spend another 3 g's to get the profiler converter. **** THAT **** IM SO PISSED jesus fdshflsdhfl;kajsdfkljsadfhl;asdfh;lshdfk man imma go kill someone im so tired. ::crying:: im so moddy when tired.
SO anyways to make a long story short there is nothing this company can do for us NOTHING. SO im going to tell my dad to return it. But most of my anger which you guys might be questioning "where is that coming from?" Is the fact that my mom had me working on the printer day and night to get color matching right when there was a 3000 dollar way to get it done fast. But **** 3 g's man I would rather but a car with that 18,000 dollars! Hell I think my dad should give me 5 outta this cause I saved his *** some money. Anyways I spent so much time on this thing and it seems it was all in vain. My god im so incompetent I knew it wasnt going to work 3 days after we bought it but I didnt know why. Now I do. Why ME!!! ::crying::

Or better yet, use this energy and determination to perhaps design a program to convert the files and offer it for sale and make money. If you're not a programmer, befriend one and perhaps offer up the capital to make this happen and go in as partners on the deal. Though, I have no idea what the demand for something like this is, but if a company can make some $3G's off of it, it might be worth some looking into.
Well the thing is form what I understand is the color profiles for the printer are proprietary. So I couldnt make a program that uses them. Unless I got the acceptance of the company to do so. To make a program to sell over thiers ...like they are going to allow that. Their software isnt openbased so i have no idea how to get the code unless Ihired someoe to hack the code out or something.
