So the G-Lemon news keeps getting worse and worse. None of the damage done by the rat is covered by warranty and so far I need.

New Wiring HarnessBrake AcutatorRas Motor/Computer? I'm not sure what she said exactly.

To remove the wiring harness I was told is 800 dollars alone, and the brake actuator 1500. Does anyone know how much the other part is, without labor and with?

Yea harnesses are a royal PITA and the RAS motor stuff is as follows:The harness for the RAS actuator is part of the main body harness and will cost 700 to 900 depending on options, and your VIN. If its not part of the body harness and its part of the #2 harness, it'll be only half that. I hope you dont need the HICAS actuator. Which is the unit that controls the RAS. its the mini steering rack looking thing that cost $4000 and sits behind the rear suspension subframe. You need to talk to insurance. They might help at least. I feel really bad this happened, its very unfortunate.

All I know right now is the Brake actuator, my mom was the one who picked up the phone when Infiniti called yesterday about the RAS, and from what she said it was a "RAS Motor" But I don't know if that's what it was my mom has been known for mixing up terms.

I surely hope that insurance covers it I pay about 3500 dollars a year for full coverage, I'll call them tonight to see if it's covered.

If you have full coverage, you'd have Comprehensive insurance. This type of insurance covers "acts of nature" which the rat would fall under.

Good luck!

I got my car back from Infiniti. 2500 dollars later, I have all the documentation, and the actuator that was all chewed up. The part that was in question was the control unit, but since it didn't display any signs of rat bites it was covered under warranty, thank god.

So my next step is faxing all of the paper work to my attorney, and then going to the dealership with the actuator, and pictures of the hood insulator.

Thank you everyone for the support you've given me these past 3 weeks.
