Worn steering wheel

What have you guys done with steering wheel wear? I don't want to do one of those cheap $10 walmart wraps. Ive seen a leather wrap that laces tight option for $44, but I am interested if anyone has done the steering wheel paint? I am guessing it fills in the worn off part.

any ideas?

Ive had a high end leather cover on mine since the day I bought it.Black.No complaints.

one owner in the past used something called wheelskin. In pictures it looked OEM.
