I have a 2013 Nissan Rogue with grey seats. The material appears to be "fake" leather. There are worn spots on the seat with the grey color surface being rubbed off after 10 years. The beige under surface is being exposed. Does anyone have any products or DIY tips to fix these seats before they get any worse? I looked into seat covers but most of them are ugly.

To my knowledge Nissan leather is all real, but it's a very thin veneer of leather bonded to a foam-and-fabric backing. Wear-through like that after years of use is pretty common. You probably want to consult with a vinyl repair guy, that kind of injury can usually be repaired with the same stuff they use to repair and texture dashboards.

Thanks for the info. I think you are correct about the thin leather veneer. Upon closer examination, I can see the foam backing.
