Quick question, does anyone here work with LED's? I was looking into making a few wedge bulbs for my cluster and other places in my car, does anyone know which size resistor I would need? Is there anything else I need to make them work? Thanks, Chris

you will need to regulate the voltage to the proper ammount, you can use either a regulator or a zener diode reversed with a drop resistor

I've done a lot of work with LED's I built a scrolling message thing with a dot-matrix made from LED's. But 240kid hit the nail on the head. Regulate your voltage, or you won't have them very long. Over (and even under-)powering is the only thing I've ever seen burn out an LED. Well...that and fire...don't ask.
